When he says "I only want your body not your love"here, I think he's just pretending. Inventing something at the moment. He's desperate and will say anything in order to make her accept his offer. I'm Italian and this version was the first I've ever watched, I love it even though some parts are much better in French. Anyway, I don't think Frollo means it when he says so. He does love Esmeralda, I think... even if in a wicked way.

my God...why he also wants to go with Esme after he rescues her..In the novel i think i understand both the desire for Esme's body and hes love. For Frollo seh can be a lover and partner for him. He wants herlove deeply but he always said "if i were younger..if the time was different may be they could be lover in somewhere so far away" . That is why i love this translation..he first say he wants her body yeas but then he says he will be in paradise for the rest of his life, if she wants

Very amazing, but it differs from the french version in theme, He says that he doesn't not want her love, only her body. It the french he wants both, he wants her kisses and to share a bed....:) oh ho ho!
