@vincechassey It's okay. But it's still a translation. A full approach is to read many translations, check for notes such as missing text in earlier mss etc and read a lexicon entry such as Strong's or other lexicon for Greek and I would say consider scholar's opinions on the words BUT with a caution that most Christian scholars are going to be biased to some degree in certain areas and once in a while I disagree with an entry in Strong's lexicon. I would use another lexicon but ...
@vincechassey "I do have a question:If Jesus was not human why the need of "the cross" ?"
Let me answer with another question. If god was not shaped like a man, why does it say he walked in the garden of eden? Why does it also say we are made in the visual likeness of god? Why, why, why.... it should be clear to you that the ancient people believed all sorts of nonsense. Why should their belief about Jesus be any different? It is simply what they believed had happened to him.
@vincechassey Also, Paul says the "rulers of this age" killed Jesus. That phrase is interpreted by many to mean demons. Paul says if they had known they were killing god's son, they would not have done it. For in so doing, they sealed their own doom. If Jesus could take on a fleshly body as Paul says and become LIKE human flesh as Paul says, why is killing him via crucifixion hard to believe?
@vincechassey I'll have to check that out but of course it doesn't really help, does it? I mean, something written 570 years later doesn't really come into play as any presentable evidence, IMO BUT thanks for the tip. Do you have a link to a good version of the Quran? I'm not that up on the Quran.
They are debating whether Jesus or an image of him or someone that look alike him been crucified
on the cross or didn't die,but I think that they knew that the Christians believed in a flesh/blood Jesus
But the authors of the Quran knew that you couddn't crucify a spirit.I've read many book on the islamic tradition and I did have some discussions about the subject And no one agree on the way to solve this puzzle,

I don't know the Quran like I know the Bible. So for that reason I wouldn't. I'm not really afraid of Muslims. I really doubt they'd try to look me up for saying that the Quran and Islam is false. Now, if I criticized Mohammed... well, that'd be different. HEHEHHE
and your compliment makes doing all those vids worthwhile. :) thanks a lot. You see, I think some people believe that because I present the vids the way I did, that I am not willing to consider other alternatives. But the prob is that the alternatives often have more problems than the one I currently believe so it's really just a matter of buying the one with the least holes in it. ? hehehe I hope to do more of these when I can but life is keeping me from it right now.
man, that shirt is OLD. I have had it for prob 10 years. It's actually wearing at the cuffs. But the fabric is awesome. Very thick and well-made. I usually wear t-shirts because I am at home all the time AND I do paint sometimes.
but the verse numbers still count 15, 16, 17... and are consecutive! If it were an insertion, there would be little " ^ " symbols and the numbers would be off, right?
Geez. And I wore that shirt ESPECIALLY for this vid! Man, at work, I had nothing but compliments on that shirt. It looks a bit better up close I guess.
Just for that, I will wear a DIFFERENT shirt in the next vid! hahaha
the bottom line of it all is the fact that the whole bible was written by man. not jesus and/or any god. just a tool to help control the masses at the time....
So what you're telling me is that the bible is not in it's original form and that even if it was, it would still be bullshit?
Wow.
That's a shocker. =)
I'm going to church Sunday and demanding my 10% back. Damn it.

I do have a question:If Jesus was not human why the need of "the cross" ?
It's everywhere in your first series that he died on the cross,so what is that death on the cross meaning if he was an immortal being?

If you read this passage in the Quran, you'll see that It perfectly match your ideas around Jesus's Myth: chapter 4 Al-Nisa' verse 158

@TruthSurge so your ideas about the meaning of "appearing" could also apply to this muslim tradition.
The Jews didn't kill Jesus. It just appeared to the tradition that It did because he(Jesus) wasn't human!

You should do one like this on Islam, but I do not blame you if you did not. Knowing Islam does not take criticism very well.
