  • Mine too . I have disassembled and greased the gearbox, but the noise continues. Only decreased.

  • yeah my sons will make the same noise everyonce in a while its cause by the open diff cases front and rear, crap get inside if them, what i found to help is to pack lithium greese inside and i do mean fill the diff up, it will help alot

  • this sound maybe caused by 4 things that we met while repairing vxl s

1- The motor pinion gear is to close to the spur gear( must insert a tape between them befor installing the motor)

2-The motor pinion gear is to far from the spur gear( repeat the first step)

3-the slipper clutch maybe damaged or may need to be adjusted (refer to the manuel that came with the model)

4-one of the differencial gear is damage

also problems can be caused by the dust on the gear box and onther gears

  • hey can anybody help me? i bought a 1/16 e revo and after i drive it like 30-50 feet away, it just loses control, wheels go crazy, ect. To be able to make that stop and drive it i have to run up to it, (like touch the antenna to the car) then it drives again and as soon as it goes 30-50 feet away from me again same problem again.

  • @douhnutz bad reciever or bad transmitter call 1888 traxxas tell them and they will fix the prob for free minus shipping

  • you are mising a gear on it

  • ya mine is doin it to. did you figure it out???

  • This sound disappeared all alone but after it returned. After several analysis, I found small stones on the spur gear and my pinion was also stripped. So I change every thing and now, No sound since

  • mine sounded likely, I think it´s the spur gear that is to close to the pinion gear, or you might got sand in the spur/oinion gear.

    Hope this helps ;)

  • my slash brushless did this noise after i went in the sand tiny i mean grans off sand on the spur check it out

  • U might have striped a gear In the transmision or the diffs or there is a little rock or debris stuck in one of the gears.

    Hope this helps.

  • did you figure it out b/c mines doing the same thing
