I've worked in a call center doing ISP support before.
I've experienced the mind numbing calls to the excessively ignorant. I've used the people's kids to fix things. I've had to explain something six ways to get them to understand.
I've seen techs put people on hold and lead them on. I've seen techs put a person on hold until they hang up.
That was far too real to be funny.
