Excellent tip on how to make a living using a tube of dielectric grease! It's all in the connections -- I'm going to try this on other connections in the G6 I bought for my girlfriend.
Thank you SOOOO SOOOO Much for this video!!!!! I have an 06 G6 with reversed brake lights, I bought some of that dielectric gel tonight and googled "how to change brake lights" and stumbled upon your video! You have saved me much frustration and even perhaps the lives of my two young sons!!! Being a single mom, finances are tight....The place I took my car tonight wanted to charge me $40 just to look at the problem......lord knows how much they would have ended up charging me in the end. Thx :)
I'd recommend disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery before beginning or else you might get a service engine light afterward (like I did). Once I disconnected and reconnected the battery, the service light went away and my car is running great (and no re-occurrences of the brake light problem!)
Thank you so much! My brake lights was stuck and this video really saved me a lot of money. Do you know how many miles does it go before you have to lube the connector again? How did you figure that trick out? Thanks
Forgot to mention that the sockets are just if you want to pull the larger red/black connector. The blue/gray ones just lock in place with no tools required.
dude awsome video ive beeen looking for that damn thing thanks

Charles, good tip on disconnecting the battery (although I didn't have any issues). Thanks.

Used to work for a Pontiac dealer and one of the techs told me to do this. It seemed to last approximately 8 months between applications.
