Im in a marching band right now, but I live in the southern part of the U.S. I feel that this documentary is showing what predominantly white school marching bands do. In the south, it's a totally different ballgame. Nevertheless, it's a great documentary. It's just only capturing one stlye of a marching band and that's what predominatly white schools do.

all the blood sweat and tears i shed with the closest people to me are all worth it after we play our hearts out on that last chord, snap back into attention, and hear lucas oil's croud go wild and you know its for you because your the only ones on the field. :) nothing in the world can give me that high.

I have this movie and love it. People really don't understand marching band and what exactly we do. It's something that you can't really explain and that you have to be in band to experience. People tend to try to disgrace things they don't understand. To everyone out there, next time you see a band, show a little appreciation for all the work they do.

Marching band is the absolute best! I live for it, they're my second family. Not many people realize that it is an actual sport and understand how much time we spend practicing, memorizing, and drilling our shows. Go Marching Band-ers!

At my high school we have a film class and im part of that. Next year is my senior year and ive been wanting to make a documentary like this to show people at my school and my district that band isnt just playing music.! Proud to be a band geek

Marching band is one of the most rewarding activity [or sport]. I am so glad that they final made a documentary to show people what goes on behind the Friday night lights, or weekend competitions.. it is not always as easy as they think.. but with your second family supporting each other to push through to be better ,what can happen will amaze you. I really just love marching band so much, I just love being in the trumpet section. The only support we get is from the parents. I hate how in football games, especially at home at halftime, i actually heard people say "oh its just the marching band lets go gets some food" before we enter the field, that really just pissed me off. I just love marching band to death

Marching band is the best :] I just switched to colorguard and this is my 3rd year in the program and I absolutely love it. U really want to watch this movie but I have no idea where to find it :[ and I have fallen in love with the song in the background haha.

before i watched this movie i began to wonder if marching band was the right choice but after watching this movie and bringing me to tears during summer band i became determined and commited to band always trying my best at the rehersals and following my instructers directions i got stronger, gained self confidence and maturity. before i new it we were at area finals at the alamo dome. to me this movie changed my way of thinking in ways i didnt expect. ill do anything to stay in band

Marching band Is harder than anyone gives it credit for being. I'm glad that they made a documentary on it. It's a difficult activity and requires hundreds of hours of work. My band puts in 200+ hours before school starts.

I love marching band. Tomorrow we start camp. I can't wait to start a new year with a new show. (We're doing Nightmare Before Christmas by the way.)

I think its great that someone mad a documentary like this. Mauching band is hard work! It is extra hard for me because I am blind in my right eye and I can not see the drum major when I am out on the field. It's even more dangerous because I play the trombone and I have hit a few people in the back of the head once or twice. (ha ha ha!!)

speaking of getting hit in the head with a trombone, I was at Texas 3A Marching band Championships, and we were having a TERRIBLE performance, and the spacing was off. Needless to say, when we turned backfield, a trombone slide hit me in the head and almost knocked me over! haha! (I can laugh about it now)

last year, one of our flutes took a huge tumble...and it took her almost 30 counts to get back into the form...we're still mad about it cuz we missed 3rd place by 3 tenths of a point...lol
