SuperRiff is better. I use it for harmony guitar parts and palm mutes. You use the mod wheel to switch. But then go another step up and get Sonic Implants' free player which has an even better guitar sound--you don't need the modwheel cuz it relies on dynamics to switch between palm mutes to sweet vibrato notes, and the samples are much better than the above.
Download the manual for vstHost from his website, it will explain all you need to do to chain your vst. Its very simple, right click, and then check the boxes for the order of your chain.
You need to chain it with free amp for the effects, just as pictured. Think of it just like in the real world. Dsk is the guitar, and free amp is your amp and effects. Chain them to gether and your away. Vst host allows you to chain as many vst together as you wish. Either in a line or in parallel. Really amazing software and free. I even use free amp with my real guitar and use "behringer live in" to hook my guitar to my computer then out to my amp. Amazing.
These things also work pretty good with the VeSTige plugin in LMMS. (Win32 build.) Unfortunately the automation controls in LMMS currently can't control VST dials (at least in 0.4.10... Maybe they'll fix that in the future?), but with some LADSPA effects applied via an FX channel - you can still get some pretty neat sound. You can also hop around FX channels via automation, so you can make a guitar pedals like effect. Not bad at all for free synthesizers on free software.
I tried to create the same effect. Yet I don't know how to chain the two plugins and where to set FreeAmp to 75. I can't find any presets there. Could you give me a hint what I'm doing wrong?
For those who don't understand vst. There was no guitar used in the making of this video. The dsk guitar is a vst virtual guitar, it's free, and runs in vst host. This is played by pushing the keys on your qwerty keyboard.
Desiste camarada. Vc não toca nada. Nem guitarra e nem teclado.
Voto negativo.

I would use Dsk Akoustic Key Z, chained up with the best free reverb ambience. These 2 will give you a great Piano set up. Nothing better in my mind.

I will try and get a tutorial set up for building the chain, give me a few days and I will see what I can put together.
