Why are people arguing about who's "manly" or "gay"? We're talking about a band where the guitarist is a man in drag for Christ's sake. Not to mention their entire aesthetic is about as campy as is humanly possible. I have no idea if any of them are gay but as far as I'm concerned the aspects that Westerners might perceive as "gay" about them are part of what makes Malice Mizer so legit. And homophobia is dumb anyway.
This song is amazing... I love how all three Malice Mizer singer managed to pull the song off so greatly... I mean.. Tetsu's version was just amazing... Gackt's version was pretty good as well, And f course... Klaha's version was just as amazing as Tetsu's... Well in my personal opinion..

I love Klaha's voice most but simply prefer Gackt's version because that's the one I'm most familiar with. I love all the lead singers of Malice Mizer for their individual strengths and foibles and I feel that to compare any of them is really like trying to compare apples and oranges. They all have a different special flavor to them, y'know?
i love klaha, but i dont like the way that he preformed this song... the best version of ma cherie is when Tetsu sing it, he is the onlyone who says Are you missing me ,right, when gackt sings it's like aimishimi and thats son extrange, ajajahhaha,

When Gackt left and Kami died, the band lost what made them them. Klaha is great and all, but he doesn't fit. Ma Cherie, Au Revoir, Bois de Merveilles, Le Ciel, Bel Air...he can't sing them. It doesn't work.
same as Gackt just culdn¡t sing Tetsu's songs, ifyou listen to the Gackt's first live concert, you'll find out Gackt singing Baroque, Seraph and some other Tetsu's songs completely sucks.

totally agree, i obviously miss Kami as all of us, but even without him, MM keep going for 2 years more being as good as always. Nothing/no-one would ever replace Kami, but MALICE MIZER wasn't only Kami, they were Kami, Yu~ki, Közi and Mana (not mention vocals cause it's proved that it's changeable) and after Kami's death MM realised an excellent cd called Bara no Seidou proving they could keep going even without Kami's body but with his soul and spirit around them.
And don't want to talk about Gackt, cause it's totally ludicrous saying MALICE MIZER were Gackt...
More, after the gorgeous Bara no Seidou, came Gardenia, Beast of Blood and Garnet; each one single is perfect so they showed they still got too much to work for... (and then broke our hearts going on "hiatus"...)
also, for most of MM fans, Gackt's era wasn't the best MM era at all, for me, i say i love them all, but if i have to chopse, i think Gackt's era is my least favorite of all.

I agree that Klaha's voice doesn't fit it very well and though Gackt does a great job, it seems to fit Tetsu's voice better than Gackt's (I think he does the best at slower-paced, more emotional songs).
good, but i preffer the tetsu and gackt version. klaha,s vibrato is too fast. his voice sounds better in his own songs, and the guitar sounds way nicer in the other two versions
It's funny to see how they all have entirely different voices. Gackt's and Klaha's are more alike than Tetsu's is, to be honest. Both are deep, but Gackt's is stronger, where Klaha's can be lighter. For this song, I'd say Gackt is the best.

I think Klaha might have done the best here.... but...
The sound cuts in and out, a LOT- it's hard to hear him for a large portion of the time.
so it's very easy to prefer Gackt's version, simply because it's constant (and prerecorded, not live)
