Sure, of course, wake up, people. The medical fraud runs DEEP, psychoactives in particular, psychiatry a complete fraud, the entire gimmick is meant to murder people very slowly while collecting rent on what is erroneously called treatment. Probably millions have died in these places, I know of one who dived under the wheels of a freight while escaping the state mental facility.

thats sad for your mom :( i spent 6 days locked in a psych ward in 2003 i went insane no idea why. they say it was cuase of drug use but i think ti was a bad reaction to anti dep paxil anyways. they were bigoted towards me small town homophobic and i swear they tried to get me to sign some paper for some surgery but i wouldnt sign it. bad things still happen in mental hospitals. the second tiem i was in there i got addicted to benzos which i still take properly now. im lonely and isolated

Thanks to all the replys I am Joyce Tafoya, the daughter of Elizabeth Fern Rathjen who was pronounced dead by a San Joaquin County Judge 11/2006 and I finially received the death certificate 1 month ago and the name of my mother was mispelled now I have the corrected one.....the judge prounced my mother dead (after missing since 1956 and dated the death certificate 1956 at Stockton State Mental Hospital. (Joyce Tafoya cell 925 339 4700) Call me also for any comments or if worked there.

update on the case. The State got away with covering this mess up once again without taking responsibility for their actions, nor did they decide to do what is right and conduct DNA testing and give these poor souls and families a name and a place for people to mourn. These people are not forgotten by those searching for their missing relatives. It saddens me that this can happen in the United States and it's not an outrage, but rather acceptable!

@DoubleEdgeInv Despite this story being a few years old, I still like to leave a comment. Has this grusome discovery ever lead to a criminal investigation of the actual perpetrators and the authorities having allowed to have this concentration camp like criminal facility to operate unhindered. I see what I see and don't go soft in the head and justify such atrocities, not even under the guise of medicine. Exactly the same kind of of thing went on in Hittlers Germany, remember?

i used to live there at the grounds when i worked at the ccc when it was there. well the point is that when we would get out of work some time we would go down in the tunnels they got tunnels all over those grounds and we found a electric chair, a burner to burn people and other creepy things and thats the truth. we always knew that they were doing bad things to people there and everyone that worked with me always said they had a bad feeling about that place.

I am also consulting with a Legal Counsel to work with the State Department of Mental Health to have the DNA done..

I have received alot of support from Senator Ellen Corbett's office and they sent a formal letter to the State Department of Mental Health recommending them to do the DNA....since they researched and found out the State has monies to do so in their reserve account....and denied the Senator's request.....can you imagine .....

I have been involved in the many law reforms new zealand has given way to regarding mentally ill patients rights, and now can proudly say new zealand leads the board on mental health rights, and as for your story, I really am proud of your efforts, we persevered in new zealand, and am getting results, take us as an example an you will do anything your heart is set on.

A Very Touching story, I aploud you for your efforts.

I am a University Student Finishing my last year of my Masters of Law at Auckland University in New Zealand, and I am focusing on Mental Health Law, this is an example of the poor treatment we gave patients around the 1940-1980 era, and often even today in other countries.

Marge, your are assuming alot ......my mother was pronounced dead and Death Certificate which took me over 1 year to received says 1956 is her date of death at Stockton State Mental Hospital.....I have been looking for my mother since 1981 ....before they used computers....(phone books stacked to ceiling and wrote to Vital Statitics by mail and waited months for a response...I and Tammy Davidson have went great lengths to find my mother and it all stopped at Stockton State Mental Hospital..

does it give an undertaker on the death certificate? How about a certificate #...in the burial section (not the dc#)..that would be her cremation number...and should have her patient number...that will allow you to request records..may have to sue to get them.

get media involved...but those found in 2005 are OLD burials. There was another burial site near Harding way.

The bodies found in 2005 were over 150 years old. The coffins had disentegrated,

there was some old square nails, etc...

Joyce I saw the remains. I went the day they found them. They are over 100 years old (if not older).

They were buried too deep to be the more recent remains (1860-1926). From 1875 until 1926, all bodies were buried at the California Street location. in 1956, they were using local cemeteries after cremation.
