@retroHC My best guess would be a strong electromagnetic field, depending on what the ghost was composed of, matter or some specific type of energy. As I recall, that's what the particle accelerators do to isolate particles of anti-matter.

A heavy energy field like lasers would probably keep a spirit, ghost or a demon in a field of some kind. We know to little of theese enteties as it is now.
