@digoo9988 fls & reason is diferrent,in reason i think yiu have to use a midi keyboard and or download sampled beats from the net form propellerhead's web,FLS You can create just about anything from scratch with or without a midi esp beats and instruments.I hate it when people say reason is better or vise versus because its all in the composer who make the beats!ima try cubase!

@ElJeffMex I wish. I ended up buying both. Record is an amazing addition to Reason. Its crazy how seamless it is at combining live instrumentation with the Reason hardware

I have to get to know all of the instruments on my computer and get in touch with that redrum thingy and the kong thingy lol. Naw but I ain't good with alot of those things in the tools so I'm looking for ways to make better beats with those tools like kong and such. @Bigtimejonko The upgrade is great. Kong is offering huge creative possibilities and the new Dr Rex enables you to handle your loops more easily, although I don't use loops that much.

The truth is that you can do a lot with the old Drum Machine, but i just don't use that anymore with Kong available.

As far as Cubase goes, it's a completely different approach to making music, so they are not to be compared. They work best with ReWire, if you prefer using the Cubase sequencer and need VSTi.

@TodaysbeatsTV i need your help, im having trouble recording instruments on my seqencer e.g. the NN-TX sampler (grand piano). anytime i am recording, while playing, the bars on the sequencer do not seem to extend longer. any time i play a note and hold it while recording, the bar doesn't go longer instead it makes a small box on the squencer as if i only pressed it for a second. i have never come across this problem with reason 4. btw im using reason 5. get @ me wen u get dis

Just got Reason 5 the day it came out had been with Reason since 2.0 version and man i must say, hands down this is the dopest software on the planet and wow KONG just made an ass out of the MPC series being able to pitch bend you drum samples, KILLLER!!! and not only drum sounds but the whole drum pattern even the modulation bender works across the sound or full pattern. Im in creation heaven now. Go out and buy it, it is well worth the $300 i paid for it.
