Mainland China has lots of music. What about Alan? Besides, who cares if it goes beyond the borders? The people who enjoy it? Who needs hope when you have conquered the world? Mainland China is the only hope the world has politically. Otherwise, music is either good or band, interesting or not, always in the ears of the beholder. You will never sell Sa Ding Ding to occidental teenagers. Like most artists in that genre, bureaucracy is the vehicle, and what you call hope. Artistic, she is.
no one cares. they do different music.. regardless of who sounds like who or who came before who... sa ding ding still makes good music. reminding us of dadawa is fair enuff... but it sounds like u think sa ding ding has stolen sumthing. just shush.
Here she is using two tibetan prayers that are sacred and passed down mostly through oral tradition. This is not only obscene but disrespectful and exploitative with her adhering to Chinese government policies regarding Tibet. Please protest when she is in concert near you.

Good music, but wish she wouldnt say politcal things like "Tibet is part of China" which hurt the feelings of 6 millions Tibetans. She should focus on music and buddhism.
btw the chinese government really likes her, shes also going to be performing at the beijing olympics... she supports china's policies/government and bieleves that tibet is apart of china... just so everyone know... however after saying that in an interview in britan, everyone was shocked so she doesnt answer anything about politics...
While this girl is pretty, the opening clip contains the famous mantra Vajrasattva widely disseminated throughout Tantric Buddhist lineages. The visuals while she is performing this mantra commonly used for purification are just ridiculous. This is the height of "spiritual materialism."
Buddhism has many branches. Tibetan Buddahism is a very special kind. But it is the most important religion in all Mandarin speaking areas. And this kind of music is really nothing new. It's just a Remix of the common Budda music you could buy in most of the temples.

it's such a shame! there's nothing to do with Tibetan music, that's fake modern music, nothing special. it's just a nother excuse from the pop music company to make money. the real tibetan music doesn't need any music instrument.

She is mongolian Chinese, creating music and song with some words she invented her own. She is such a talent.

What's politics to do with music? Why does she have to answer anything about politics?

No,,, Arrogance must not be answered with Arrogance.
Her music is good.. you may decide to worry about the politics.... me? No.
Change is usually best taught through example.

I am impressed!
I think the video story, the theatre story, and the message of the album are all different.
This is indeed performance art in its highest form.
The video story focus on visualising the era of the Tibetan King as Sa Ding Ding fantasise in her head.
The stage story which I have only sampled is about Sa Ding Ding - her artistic expression.
The album which I play at home is the expression of a deep philosophy towards turmoil of life set against the harshnest of Tibet.

real tibetan music frequently uses musical instruments actually. Dranyen (6 string lute or in Amdo 8 string) Mandolin, Piwang (2 string violin) Lingbu (flute) Gyumang (Hammer dulcimer) and more!

This is NOT Tibetan music....
It's Budda music. Something to do with the rythem and tones of preyer.
If you go to any Budda temple in China, Similar music is all available, though not so modern..
Fridaysh0w 3 years ago 16
@Fridaysh0w It's NOT Buddha music either.

It's very confusing! I thought it's Tibetan music, but she is singing a very different song now, it's not definitely a Chinese song as she claimed.
