I should have built a Yam 650 instead of an old Turnip 650. The Yam 650 is a lot more reliable on long trips. I realized that too late :-(

my son is a new starter he is 15 and wants to rid a bike should i start him off on a bobber bike

@dayjumper75 If his never ridden before I would buy him a xs 650 stocker with the flat seat he will pick up riding in no time on that thing. Then once his comfortable with riding say 5-6 months down the track tear it down get the hardtail rear end frame weld it up and build a mean little bobber with ya son :) be a awesome father and son thing I reckon.

I rode that bike all Summer long and until the snow flew. The Harley got pissed and blew (literally) a gasket.
