Wait. What happens at the end?  Why is Nathan Fillion a ghost and why does Kate die? Please reply. I must know the answer :-)

Spoilers Ahead!

Nathan Fillion was either possessed or forced his way into death,

He went into a diner and was going to kill Kate. Pulled the gun on her, cops shot him dead.

He becomes a ghost and follows kate in the paramedics. In the diner, he tells kate that she has to die.

She has to die because she was saved. On the third day after being saved, the perosn saved is possessed by the devil and kills others. if she didnt die, shed killed a bus full of people.

Not a very good movie, but Katee and Nathan's performances were really wonderful. Maybe someday they'll join forces again in a movie that's worth their talents.
