  • Great video and if I had the money this is what I’d do. The holidays have taken everything and I need to get rid of the holiday fat. --→LOSE10LBSQUICK (DOT)INFO←--

  • after having my lap band surgery at southcoastlapband for almost a year, I've lost 90 lbs. I've tried countless diet methods but the weight never gone for good. lap band changed my life!

  • hi there everyone, has anyone here tried using Gallactico 324 Diet (search on google) ?My father lost a lot of pounds using Gallactico 324 Diet within weeks?

  • 6 months later and I've lost 77 lbs after my lap band surgery. It's not easy and I still fight my demons daily. But my diabetes is better, my HA1c is down to 6.5 and my blood pressure and cholesterols are at a normal level. I plan a weekly cheat as taught in my nutrition claqsses and I'm headed to a workshop this evening for some more support. but I'm doing it. I've NEVER lasted this long before.

  • This sends a horrible message. Shame on you

  • This sends a horrible message. Shame on you

  • I had a band put in over a year ago and am 80lbs down and feeling great.. i hope i look as good as you do when i get to my goal..you look great and well done on all your hard work.. i know how hard it is, lapband is definitly not the easy way out!! keep up the good work hun xx

  • no one gives a fuck what any of you negative commentators have to say.. do you think your stupid comments about how looking at weight loss as something great is bad will change anyone's mind.. cause last time i checked losing weight so you WONT FUCKING DIE is amazing, it helps the person mentally and physically... so go comment something else and HOPE you touch someone's life.. fuckin loser, let her be happy and proud

  • wow keep up the good work i had my band put in two weeks ago

  • was wondering what the tattoo said....can't quite read i all ???? anyone know?

  • I'm sorry about the eating disorder. I feel like people are overly concerned about appearance. Positive attention from losing weight in the face of negative attention from being overweight is probably addictive. While it's nice to get support for weight loss, that's what all of your interaction with people becomes about and that's dangerous too. There's more to a person than weight - anorexia and bulimia and prejudice against body fat are just 2 sides to the spectrum of false priorities.

  • girl you look gorgous I am thinking about the lapband surgery as well 245 pounds I am at right now I want to lose 100 pound to look like what i did 17 yrs ago

  • Comment removed

  • great job hun..i really hope u are keeping it off and in a healthier way than you did losing it (according to what u put in the info bar up top)...long hard journey tho i cant imagine it was easy ...bless u and hope you keep healthy!! :)

  • Darling you look wonderful. I am 113kg and havce just decided to get a lap band. I will put my journey up on you tube. You look wonderful I am sure it was still difficult but you got there ... go girl

  • Great video...the song really got to me...and seeing your results is amazing. I got my surgery in two weeks...and very inspirational to see how hard you worked and how well it's paid off. Thanks for sharing...

  • Wow... I am seriously looking into getting the lap band. You picutres brought tears to my eyes. I can not imagine your journey. You look great, you have a spark in your step. How is it keeping it off.. that is my concern...

  • at 1:44 you look SOOO pretty! Congrats on the loss, and I've been through AN/BN as well as now just starting the LapBand process. It's a hard road but you make it look good. I hope you're addressing your issues and getting yourself well both physically and emotionally :-)

    Bright Blessings,

    Wendy

  • Congratulations!! I am sure you are proud of yourself. You had a pretty face prior to surgery and a gorgeous face after. You look amazing. I am having the surgery Jan.15th in NYC, And I am looking forward to getting my life back. You and sooo many other people on youtube are an insiration to me right now. Thgank you for sharing and I looking ahead to the day when I will post my video on my success.

  • You are GORGEOUS!! Before and after, but after you have such a glow.... inspiring completely :D I hate, hate to ask... but could you even just message me what your starting weight was- I looking for people who were as close to the weight I am now when they started... Everybody is different I just wanted an idea of how long it might take different people to get get to their goal weight. I have researched this surgery for years and am still too terrified to even go to a meeting. Hugs,Jenny

  • Gotta love when people think they have the answers and give you their "educated" opinion on your life! People don't get that having WLS is NOT "taking the easy way out". Going through something like that is extremely trying on you mentally, emotionally, and physically. Yes, the LAP-BAND limits the amount you eat, but that's the whole idea of it! I am looking into getting the surgery myself, I am scared but unwavering. Congrats on your journey, you look AMAZING!!

  • People need to understand that what makes you lose weight is not the AMOUNT of food you eat, but the QUALITY of the food. And if anyone would have some common sense, a band around the stomach only take cares of how much you eat, not what you eat. I am sure you changed your diet as well after you had the surgery (less fats, less calories, and so on). Well, guess what, you could have done that without a lap band. It's called the placebo effect. The band triggered your mind, not your body :)

  • I'm willing to bet that close to 100% if not 100% of obese people have one or more eating disorders and while those need to be addressed,(and if you read about her under her pic she admits to falling into bulimia/anorexia even after having the band- We can eat all the salads we want BUT what about the cake we have hidden in our room? Food triggers our mind and body, not the band. Go to a food addiction meeting. Go to a WLS meeting before talking about something you don't know :)

  • I am sure that some people have some other psychological problems besides just wanting to eat crappy food. However, when at 3:30pm I see the kids coming out of the high school 3 blocks from where I live, and 80% of them are from overweight to very obese, it's hard to think "Oh poor kids, it's not their fault"...

  • You obviously know nothing about weightloss surgery! And since you dont we will give you a pass! Maybe you should google it and find out how important the quaility of food is, and how the band will do the rest. I am not trying to sound rude or disrespectful, its just that people need to be educated on this, so if in the future a close friend of yours is over weight, and instead of dying of being overweight and failing, she can live with the lapband! Thank you...

  • wow ... you are now doable !!!!! congrats !

  • wow you look nice how long did it take you to losse it?

  • Congratulations, you look wonderful. Hope you were able to gain control over your eating disorders and that you're success is long term :)

  • Amazing.... You look fabulous. I'm almost a year out, and 75lbs down. I can't wait to reach goal. Thank you for the great video. It was truly inspiring.

  • so you got the lap band surgery done?? iam a guy, 22 years old, 5 '11" and i am 270 lbs.... i would like to get the lap band done, but am scare.

  • wierd same here 6"2, large framed and beens tuck at 270 for the last year . im gonna get it done, i was scared shitless to but theres nothing worse then walking around ashamed of who you are.

  • I'm in the process of getting the lapband... and cant wait! I'm having trouble with my insurance... waiting for approval. any suggestions from anyone? You look great, talk about inspiration ;)

  • You are so beautiful...I loved watching your video...I'm having the lap band on June 9th..I can't wait. I'm glad your doing so great!

  • I am highly considering this procedure... and I am really holding off because I have a history with ana/mia.

  • hi my name is Jackeline and im getting the lap-band surgery soon..im exited but im also worry, im 16 and i weight 210 pounds and i would like to know how long it takes to see the results ?

  • Hey me too!

Im 17 and Im gettin it bout four months I hope you good luck!

  • im getting the appointment today! and i have so many fears, i dont know how my skin would look after the lap-band.

  • Mee too.

If you eat foods that promote elasticity and work out every day your skin will bounce back in shape. but what from Ive heard there is going to be extra skin no matter what you do. And it depends on how much you need to lose.

  • About 2 years. You lose 1-2 pounds per week.

  • I'm proud of you!

I too had this done and it is not easy at all but ever so rewarding! It's not magic as some people think but takes a lot of determination and....fills! lol

  • I seriously bawled my eyes out watching this. I had the lapband surgery at age 16 and I'm now 19, I have only lost around 70 lbs so far, I feel like a complete failure, and this video just shows how much is out of reach for me because of my own shortcomings.

  • very nice video, u were beautiful before and after...

    Good luck!

    :]

  • Beautiful!! While viewing your video I found myself reading some of the posts listed above. Messunderstood wrote that she cried uncontrollably and I wondered why. Then I scrolled back up and saw more of your pics which included your size changing from about 300lbs to 150lbs...then I cried. Congratulations and I pray that you are doing very well.

  • Weight loss surgery is NOT taking the easy way out at all. It takes a lot of hard work, commitment, dedication, and inner strength. Its a lifestyle change and it eliminates many debilitating illness like pseudotumor cerebi, diabetes type 2, high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc. For u to insinuate its not hard work is just rude and ignorant. If it was just about eating right and exercise no 1 would be obese, its about much much more & if you did any kind of research you would realize that.

  • @BRITTwith2tees I agree with you that it's not the easy way out (it's risky in a way conventional weight loss and exercise isn't), but I disagree that if it was about eating right and exercising that no one would be obese. For the majority of people (not all), I do believe that is precisely what it is about. Those things are really difficult - just as hard as diet and exercise post-op or even harder, because progress is slower. People are unwilling to try everything, such as vegetarianism.

  • @MachineAmbition I have friends that are strick vegetarians, yet they are still overweight. It's not about being a vegetarian, nor does that guarentee that I will lose all the weight that I need / want to.

  • @MachineAmbition weight loss surgery is a tool for people who HAVE tried to loss weight through diet and exercise and cannot get there from that alone.....being morbidly overweight is actually a disease and is the #2 killer only second to smoking! Just looking at it from a medical stand point. Facts are facts.....for some people they need the tool to help them loss weight

  • @BRITTwith2tees Amen to that! I had lap band surgry 2 weeks ago. I am diligently following my diet and learning to exercise. I can't do 30 minutes at one time yet, but I'll get there. I did it because of a bunch of health problems and I;m looking forward to saying good-bye to them!

  • @CelticLady44 my wife has just been approved for lap band, i'll have her to "ping you " for any advice, i love her so much and i'm so proud of her for making this decision CelticLady44 "stay the course" I'm proud of you to

  • The lapband is actually the safest weight loss surgery. It CERTAINLY isn't the easy way out, so please don't say such things unless you have walked a mile in our shoes. =] No disrespect to you =]

  • I first saw your video the day before I had my lapband placed in Novemebr of 07 and I cried uncontollably seeing what COULD happen for me as well. Well, 16 months later i'm 80 pounds less woman than I was and I still come see this video every couple of months for inspiration. Oh yeah, I still cry but now it's for joy!

  • Getting the lapband or having gastric bypass is not the easy way out.. I mean personally, I'm not saying this to offend you or anything but sometimes people can't lose weight on diet and exercise alone. Sometimes it goes way above that. I have Diabetes and it prevents me from losing weight. So please think about what your saying before you post something like this again because you may offend a lot more people in the long run. Sorry if I sound mean, I don't mean to =)

  • Hi! First of all I think you are beautiful! I'm starting my journey soon. I'm just scared of losing too much too fast. Did you have any problems with sagging skin? If so where? I have had twins that weighted almost 8 pounds EACH, so my stomach is shot already.

  • Hey... its by the Dixie Chicks....

    best wishes,

    Rachael

  • wow your gorgeous!!!

  • Hi TB Congratulations on your rebirth. I will be having Gastric Bypass surgery on Monday Morning. I am full of all kinds of emotions..at the age of 49 I will be stepping out of a shell that has been holding me back for more than 30 years. I cannot wait to move around without pain, to disappear into a crowd, to walk on a beach in a pair a swimming trunks without someone making a rude comment. I am very happy for you please keep me in your thoughts.

    Miguel

  • This made me cry...Honestly, I'm having this surgery myself soon. I totally get why you chose that song.

  • Ultimately it's about how you feel about yourself, but there's no question that there's a general prejudice against fat people in America. I've had experience as a fat person, and as an about adverage person....and sometimes the differences of how I was treated is sick.

  • I'm now 3 weeks post op and already lost 26 lbs. Your video continues to inspire me. Thank you

  • good job! but judging from all of your pics, you at least seemed happy regardless.

  • hallo!

i would like to ask a question please:if there are some mens today which pay attention to which did not on the time when you were fat, what do you think about these mens?do they make you feel angry?sorry, my english is little.bye bye from germany.

  • that is a good question..do men treat you better now..but what about people you knew from before you had your surgery or just people in general. how did they treat you when you were fat vs. now that you are thin?

  • I have a question..after the lap band surgery and the weight loss what did you do about the excess skin? did you have additional surgery for it? that my main reason for hesitation in getting the band i think...I dont have any money for the plastic surgery I would need afterwards

  • Hey,

I havent had my plastics yet, but I DO need them. I had to wait until I was in recovery from my eating disorder before a doctor would consider doing it. IM in recovery now and the topic has been brought up again. IM luckier than a lot of people because eventhough my excess skin is severe, I seem to be able to hide it to an extent with the right clothes.

  • Its by the Dixie Chicks....

    Thanks!

Im promising an update in the next week. I would do one now, but the lighting is terrible and I cant seem to fix it!

  • can't wait! people seem to be so discouraging about the lap band, it's nice to see someone who lost a whole bunch of weight on it.

  • Wow! You look amazing! I love the song that accompanies your journey, who sings it? God bless you, girl, you are an inspiration to many! Much love.
