  • da uma fritada legau ai em ahahahah

  • awesome pond looks great :D

  • how do you get rid of water droplets at lens and also the moist? does this include wiper?

  • It doesnt include a wiper and I've not had a problem with marks on the lens. After you use it, you put it in clean water, open and close the lens shutter a few times to get rid of any dirt and it is good to go. There is some blurb in the instructions about the lens being dust repellant and it seems to shed water too.

  • i got that cam it good check out my vids and also very nice pond it is very clean for a pond standard nice job i do this with my fish tank

    cheers

  • I have the same camera but I couldnt fix the problem with 10 sec limitation. I have the firmware version 1.1 and xD card 2gb type H but I cant film more than 10 secs. Someone can help me?

  • I've got the xd 2GB M+ card and it works for more than 10 secs. I've recorded 18mins of VGA video using it. Try getting an M+ card.

  • So using a SD card limits you to video of 10 seconds max? Is that still the case as of today? (Dec 2008)

  • Yes, 10 seconds max of continuous high quality video if using an SD card. Obviously you could take lots of individual 10 second vids using one SD card. You can get up to I think it is 33 mins of continuous video on the lower quality video setting. I would go for the XD M+ card.

  • I see that the largest XD M+ is 2GB? and the price per GB is a lot higher than micro SD.. I guess that's why they limit the SD to 10 seconds. Other than the XD card issue, how do you like the camera overall (photo + video quality), and would you recommend I look at the 1050 SW instead? I'm aware of the difference between the depth rating (10 vs 3m). Thanks!

  • I'm very happy with the camera. I got it for snorkeling at Sharm El Sheikh and it took fantastic underwater photos and videos. See my profile for some of the sharm videos, make sure you click on the high quality option although youtube compression still reduces their quality. There isn't much price difference between the 1050 and 1030, if you want the camera for snorkeling I would go with the 1030, its easy to go deeper than 3m.

  • Will a 4GB XD M+ card work in this model? I think there was something on the Olympus website about memory card compatibility.

  • well there is a setting where it takes 2 second fotos if u cant figure it out at all just reset and wipe the whole thing

  • does the fish at 1:47 have an infection or is he supposed to look like that?

i love this camera, great image quality!

  • Its a seriously ugly slightly deformed fish. It actually looks better than it did a few years ago when it had big bobbly growths on its back. We've had it at least 10 years and it has never been pretty.

  • it's has a very good image quality!!

  • ur fish a huge massive giant!

  • does using the SD card allow you to record more than 10 seconds?

  • I thought it would but it doesn't. Apparently you need an M+ XD card for the longer than 10 seconds high quality video, and the biggest card is only 2GB and will take approx 18mins. I've ordered a couple and will let you know how it goes.

  • but does the sd card allow you to record more than 10 seconds at a lower quality? i've just bought this camera. and wanting to know whether its worth getting the xd card.

  • No, SD cards limit you to 10 seconds high quality video. I've got the M+ XD card now and it does allow 18 mins of high quality continuous video.

  • Is it true that the xD Memory card is the only type you can use with the camera or is it possible to also use the SD memory card...and also how good is the quality of the pics you have taken so far

  • It can also use Micro SD cards, the camera comes with an adapter, I've used it and it works. I'm very happy with the photo quality although I'm not a camera buff, just a point and shoot guy. Also a new firmware update for the camera has improved the movies it takes, you can now take long high quality VGA videos.

  • also, was that continuous filming? if so, how big was the file at the end? thank you!

  • The filming was continuous, the original film was 10 mins 34 seconds and took up 407mb. It can film for 29 minutes continuously in QVGA (320 × 240 resolution) which is what this was filmed in. The cameras big weakness is that it can only do 10 continuous seconds at the better VGA resolution (640×480). You can immediately record another 10 seconds afterwards but obviously there is the small break while you press record again.

  • have you tried it in the snow? the picture quality looks really good, but i'm eager to see how sharp it is in the snow.

  • We don't get much snow around here so I've not had chance to test that.

  • what is the " Thumping Noise"?

  • The thumping noise is air bubbles escaping past the microphone part of the camera I think.

  • did u cover ur camera or... ??

  • I didn't cover the camera, it works underwater with no protection.
