  • what's with the ship getting destroyed at sea?

  • Where is Genesis Climber Mospeada? One of the best!

  • hey does anyone remember a cartoon with cars that turned into weapons? like a Big rig would have like rocket launchers when the front piece would fold a certain way. i think s a japanese cartoon but im not sure its been like 14 years since ive seen it.

  • dairugger xv in america is better knowed as voltron, strungle is also knowed gorillas force (in venezuela is knowed as grupo especial gorila) and macross is knowed as robotech

  • Dubine!!!

    MIO!!! YEAH!!

  • robotech?

  • Macross...

  • dairugger is the same voltron here in usa

  • Macross= pure win

  • Inconnu en France:

  • Macross was one of the shows that got me hooked on anime at as a kid. The variable fighter is still the coolest mecha around.

  • Then you didn't know mechas... there are many mechas cooler than Macross Valkyries... Z Gundam, Nu Gundam, Hyakku Shiki, for example

  • Yea...or Gobots!!

  • WTF dairugger is voltron vehicle force when I watched it as a kid.

  • srungle aired in 1983.so that means srungle is after macross

  • this is good stuff

  • was macross aired on channel 9?

  • In the U.S. they butchered this and renamed it "Voltron" (the vehicle version.) They did the same thing with "Go Lion". The shows originally were not related.

  • I like Votoms, Macross, and Gundam the best because everything else seems like they used them for the concept of power rangers. The use of giant robots for war was a great idea and the others just didn't keep up.

  • Thats what separates the genres a bit. "Super Robots" versus "Real Robots". Super Robots included things that fit the mold that Nadesico's Gekiganger mockup series created, whereas Real Robots fit things that science had more to do with, logic, technology. Series where the main characters weren't immortal, where death on the battlefield was a reality, not just someone screaming in a cockpit.

  • power rangers were already created at that time its been created in 1975

  • Or rather Super Sentai was. ^_^

  • yeah...

just look the origins of MMPR n' you find Jumperson, or Voltron itself, n' you end finding Golion n' many other japanese ideas...

sadly, most of Super Robots seen on USA are just simple copy of some other successful japanese series...

  • OK, you're confusing animated super robots with tokusatsu super robots and metal heroes!

  • yeah, maybe I`m messing sentai with super robots, but both of them were copied by USA animation enterprises... then Saban quit ZIV, to form his own corp (Saban Entertainment) n' the disaster begun (:D)

  • OK? You don't really know the full story. There was no animated sentai series, there was only the live action series by Toei. Secondily Saban never worked for a company called ZIV. He started in France where he met Shuki Levy and they worked for the company DiC mostily providing BGM for most of their cartoons, though they worked for other companies too, like Marvel and Filmation. Saban Entertainment was formed in the 80's, but grew rapidly in the 90's until they were sold to Disney.

  • Shinesman???

  • Its Janperson you ass hole >:(

but the rest is true :)

  • that's japanese spelling, idiot...

and if the rest is true, why you insult me? fuck off

  • Hey asshole, I watched an episode and it clearly said "Janperson fights for some justice'' so YOU fuck off

  • what?

  • Another amazing comp.

    ありがとうございます!

  • MACROSS IS A CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Indeed. You watch through almost all of these other shows on this compilations and their all about super hero teams with giant robots that fuse together to make one mega bot.

Macross and gundam 0079 were years ahead of everyone else.

  • still no gundamT.T

  • check out the 70s part of robot anime history.. gundam was created in 1979. you might have missed it.

  • MACROSS and Aura Battler Dunbine are the anime that a memory is deep. When Valkyrie came out in Super Robot Wars, I was glad^^

  • Captain Global was badass

  • He's #2 on my list of Captains.

He still hasn't beat Bright in my book

  • Macross was in a league of its own, when comparing it to the other robot animations at the time.

  • depends how you define Animations of the time. Because if it reaches and includes Zeta Gundam then you might have a legit competitor

  • MACROSS RULZ!!!

  • ahhh...the good old day. Dunbine rox!

  • hey any one seen my anime into Mahou Senshi G-man

please look at it and post comments. I am working on more of the anime its self.

  • I know that MediaBlasters is releasing Dairugger XV and Golion, but where can I get the rest of these on DVD?

  • Dairuger makes Voltron/Golion look like a pussy. A wet, slippery pussy.

  • Excellent collage. Voltron (Golion) has a BIG family..

  • OMG what is this dairugger thing. Its just sick. He has ninja stars on his shoulders which spin like razor blades. Then they can be combined to form a sword? What? This is robot to the sickest degree. I luv it. And this head is an airplane while the legs are a train? WTF insanity. Again I luv it.

  • ahh good old macross :)

  • dairugger is voltron vehicle

  • I think the sequence of J-9 series is not quite right

  • What do you mean "not right"?

  • Dang!! I used to have dairugger toys!!

  • Me too, i used to have the mecha itself when i was a kid and i never knew it was from a cartoon since i could find it on TV.

  • OMFG! isnt this Voltron 2!

  • OMG!! The song that I like in SRW also in here!! so GOOD!!

  • omg, the little trace of memory from the bottom of my mind has emerged once again after hearing the theme song of Dairugger XV
