Does anyone know if you "control your own actions" with this game? In other words... do you have a turn-based action setup, or is it relatively a "real-time" thing where you can fight more like (for example) Deus Ex... FEAR... Half-Life... etc.?

I bought this game but my PC could hardly even play it so I uninstalled it... I have a 2008 HP pc that I paid $800 for and it lags insanely even at low graphic settings... So yeah... I'm pretty depressed right now... I suggest not buying it unless you have a super computer that you have spent $1200 + on.
@CrankItEveryDay dude.. you need to learn to build a pc. I built mine for around $700 and I can run this on all high... The only game I can't quite get all the way up is crysis.
@CrankItEveryDay Prebuilt PCs are real crap. As Lona90bs said, a $600 custom PC is by far enough to run The witcher maxed out. (I do have a $600 custom built and I do run the witcher maxed out)
truely the witcher rocks. i over enjoyed it along with mass effect - these two are my new favourite games of all time, along with kotor, diablo and a few more. I can't wait TW2, ME2 and Dragon Age: Origins. Good times coming ^^
The game is : The Witcher Rise of the White Wolf (for console xbox 360 and playstation 3) and one fps made by cdproject but not mass effect or hellgate london...the game not exit,is in work.

Yeah this is the best rpg since Diablo came out. I don't regret buying this game its a little expensive for enhanced edition but worth it.

The second game looked a lot like Hellgate London to me.
Don't buy that game though.
Its OK if you like Diablo 2 with guns, but since they canceled the online play, it makes this game virtually worthless.

Have you istalled the latest patch? It improves the loading AND saving times to 5 sec.
