When the survivors gas the generator up it jams and gets stuck. One survivor must sacrifice him or herself to kick up the generator again. When he or she does this (Bill) they are left behind and they are killed by the zombies. Thats how Bill died.

I read the comic, still havnt finished it but it shows some background on the L4d cast. And well the reason the L4d 2 and L4d1 cast survive is cause they are immuned but they are still carriers which explains why the helicopter driver of dark carnival and no mercy die. cause they get infected by the survivors.

@zombutchielol the servers are redicously overloaded i just bought L4D about 6 hours and it still hasn't downloaded and i have a high end computer with really great internet connection

@ybawther yeah, downloading took forever for me, but thats also because steam is a bit slow, and its like 2 gb your downloading. Hopefully the new update today, along with downloading L4D2 will fix my problem.
