it looks like a tiny venue... i should have guessed such a great band would do that. win butler is a true visionary in terms of his music writing capabilities... and i guess he's also quite a humanitarian as well. awesome.
It wasn't an "official" show... it was announced a few hours beforehand, and was held in a church basement (~300 people). It was only $10, and all proceeds went to charity... How many other big bands do awesome stuff like that?
this song is genius-maybe there was some kind of spiritual intervention in the creation of it.

Fugazi used to do that, at least the cheap admission/charity part anyway. Shouldn't there be more of this going on these days?
