These three videos "Happy I, II, and III" , for me DEFINE rock.
Thanks for posting these jewels.
I spend so much time wishing that I hand't been but one year old when this tour happened. It's one of the tragedies of my life that I was too young to see a '72 show in person.
Being in love with the Keith of the seventies can be a hard life!
see boys and girls.. people used to sing in the good 'ol days..there was no electronic gimmick crap to help you sing and these people sounded fine..i wonder where they are today..
WOAH. This was one of the best stones performances ive seen in a while!!! great job! haha at 2:34 look at micks tongue haha. (also, his name is KEITH, not keef)
WOW!! They were a Great Band at this point. Keith was great when he was sober! And Mick Taylor--what a musician! They were never the same after he left the band. Sticky Fingers and Exile were thier best !
Compare this version to the one from 1975. Keith got his teeth fixed, but the musicianship went straight downhill. They just sound tired 1975, especially compared to this coked up version.
While I like Mick Taylor's solo...how can you not..I really would have liked to Hear Keith's two brief and simple, yet fun to listen to, slide guitar solos like the studio version. I guess they didn't do them in this performance due to the breakneck speed they played it at or the massive volume which would have made them close to impossible to hear. Ron Wood does the solos on a lap steel...I think...when they play this one live now. Great stuff however!
have you ever noticed that the stones rarely took pictures with mick taylor standing right up fully next to mick and keith.. i figured it our.. it's cuz mick taylor like TOWERS over them
listen to the great two part harmonies, and then check to see if both singers are at the mike. (00:35, 00:45, 1:01, 1:27 followed by Jagger's 'all right now', nowhere near the mike, followed by all of the subsequent 'happy's somehow harmonised by Jagger alone.
I hope this is simply a live audio mixed with a different video performance and not anything sneaky.
This is an exhilirating video, i love it, but i just noticed the inconsistencies...
Mick is shaking that ass like the rent is due tomorrow! LOVE IT!
Unfortunately Mick Taylor was too beautiful for the Stones.

i love keiths voice, part of the charm is that keith isnt a great singer. it comes from his gut, thats really rare

yeah man i have this on dvd and some songs are mixed with different audios, don't know why, maybe an audio quality issue

I noticed all that too. My take on it is that it probably was filmed (&recorded) at this concert and then the vocals "massaged" a little.
