Wrong. It's on the European mega drive, you cannot play a mega drive game on a genesis without a converter. They are the same console, but the cartridge shape is different, it just won't fit.

A European cartridge will fit in a North American Genesis just fine. A lot of them have region coding so they won't boot up unless you have a converter. Some of them don't and they will work just fine on a Genesis.

It's the Japanese cartridges that won't fit into PAL Megadrives or North American Genesis consoles. Many converters are big enough to fit them in regardless though.

@Megahedron1501 You know, I can't recall, and actually, I wasn't aware they weren't all made by the same nasal-voiced person. So it's a "community" thing? I wish somebody with an awesome voice would do one, like James Earl Jones, the guy from the All State commercials, or David Attenborough. Even Tay Zonday would be pretty great.
