Wait, so if a native american or african hunts an animal in a traditional manner, it's okay yet if a white person (and to a lesser extent, asian) person does it's bad?
@natija08 What’s the point in adding in the "white man" part? Also what makes you think he won't eat it? It's a more traditional way to live, is more humane than many factory farms and great in rural regions were you can’t simply go to a grocery store. Besides, what exactly is wrong with enjoying the thrill of a hunt, animals oftentimes enjoy hunting and may kill for pleasure (i.e cats) or simply to enjoy meat even if they don’t need it (i.e Bears, Chimps, Pigs).
@natija08 Or both, and you cannot tell me honestly that there has never been a Native American or African that actually enjoyed the thrill of hunting, regardless if it was for their survival or not. Not to say I think people should kill strictly for pleasure mind you (that’s just being wasteful), but just making a point.
Look, I'm a vegetarian for more than 20 years. I'm healthy and feel very good.
And a vegan only has to take B 12 (what I do).
I think that's easy and you win such a good life with this life style. I'm really happy not to be responsible for the torturing and killing of so many animals in all these years.
And because I'm so happy and healthy I don't have to take medicine which is tested on animals.
Humans with a good immune system (by eating fruits and vegetables) are much better able to stay healthy than people who eat mostly industrial food. That's clear, isn't it?
To reduce the amount of meat you eat and to increase the amount of fresh organic fruits and vegetables would support your health and your body feeling.
@natija08 I eat a balanced diet of meat, fruit, diary, vegetables, and wheat. Haven't been sick in a number of years. Last check-up was a month ago, and I'm perfectly healthy.
How quickly people forget that bison were almost wiped out in America by likely ancestors of the very people who kill them now for sport, as if it's just a nostalgia trip.
Nothing much has changed in human attitudes except management laws, that only came about after the threat of extinction. It used to be a killing free-for-all on the plains, forests and everywhere else.
Why do these thrill-killers always praise the animal after it's dead? Once it's dead it loses what made it "beautiful" in the first place. I really don't get it. Do they think they take on all its characteristics simply by snuffing it?
"Whenever I see a photograph of some sportsman grinning over his kill, I am always impressed by the striking moral and esthetic superiority of the dead animal to the live one." (Edward Abbey)
All you PETA lovers don't have to watch the video, and to the people who say he shouldn't do this... this might be good practice for a survival situation, if the US economy collapses, or a national emergency happens and you can't rely on others for food.
@Noobpatty, don't kid yourself that game would last for more than a few weeks if 300+ million Americans had to revert back to hunting like this. The human population is far too large to survive that way anymore. Livestock have taken over enormous tracts of former wildlife habitat.
I find it interesting that prairie dogs are shot for entertainment, ostensibly to prevent cows from tripping on their holes, yet millions of bison coexisted with them.
@Antithropocentric The human population exploded because of agriculture, which ruins entire ecosystems. If you want to talk about raping this planet, maybe you should look to Monsanto and the rest of the Industrial Farming Complex that has genetically engineered crops and ruined the soil and water with their pesticides. Grains are for the birds, not people. I think you need more saturated fat in your diet, you're not thinking clearly.

@ismackinac I see your point. However, I think any method of killing an animal is no less painful than the next. Unless you get a perfect head shot with said high caliber rifle, most animals take off after being shot and later lie down and die. I don't necessarily see anything wrong here.
@jorjilo72 Go eat some veggies you fucking PETA faggot. I hope when you die, you root somewhere in the woods so you can be converted into organic matter and your followers can eat you and shit you out.
There's no need to kill a buffalo with a spear. If you want to hunt buffalo, just use a very large caliber rifle and be quick and clean. Don't amuse yourselves at an animal's expense.
@IsMackinac animals were killed with spears and with bows long before guns were thought of hunting the animal with nothing but a spear gives the animal a fair chance
@hellwolf882 Yes, but when they were dispatched with spears people were fairly desperate and hungry; but as soon as they got better weapons and tools they used them. Buffalo meat is one of the very best and leanest there is, better than beef. But show the animal as much respect as you can, if you're going to hunt them get close and use a big bore rifle that takes them quickly.
you hippies are funny. if someone uses a gun you holler use a bow. if they use a bow you holler use a spear. here is a man with a spear and your still cryin
@hectichorse: Yes, but this is perfectly legal and yet you're still here ignorantly shouting off about it.
If you don't like hunting, fine, but that's neither going to stop anyone from doing it and it's only going to make you look stupid making arguments comparing intelligent life to hunting a buffalo legally.
Indians drove entire herds off cliffs. They would kill any still alive at the bottom with clubs. The skin of buffalo calves and fawn deer was highly prized to make footwear for Ojibwa snowshoes. Today, animals are killed by the thousands in slaughterhouses. There's no clean way to make meat. But, there are much, much more humane ways to do it than with a spear. Believe it or not, the bow is the most humane method.
@IsMackinac If you get close, the spear would actually be more humane, as the entire function of an arrow is that of a small spear. Since the head of a spear is larger, it facilitates the hemmoraging of vital organs faster, thus making a fast ethical kill. It's fine to split hairs, but as hunters we do tend to claim that each of our preferred ways is more ethical. (Says the bowhunter, the flintlock hunter, the single-shot rifleman, ect... ect...)
@ljeonjko There's seasons where hunting them is allowed. I think a group monitors the buffalo population, than when it reaches a certain point, they are allowed to be hunted.
@ljeonjko this is on a farm these buffalo are farm raised and live inside a fenced in area. Also, this is stupid video buffalos where never hunted with a thrown spear... plains indians used a spear or lance from horseback it was never thrown. Many preferred the lance or bow to firearm because they were faster and more efficient then a firearm...
@madfishmcgolrick I'm trying to teach history by my reply..... if you want to talk about before the horse was used by native americans I can explain that to you. People used what is called an atlatl or spear thrower. Look it up on utube to learn about it. Throwing a spear by hand and trying kill a large animal is something that was not done because it was not effective. People used the spear thrower because it increased the effective range to hundreds of yards.
@1overthehillsfaraway Yes, but before the Atlatl was made they still relied on the spear, whether throwing it, or cornering an animal for a stabbing attack. The spear was used as a hunting tool long before the atlatl. The natural progression of hunting tools being the spear, the atlatle, and on to the bow and arrow. Now, about the range. Please remember that people also hunted in groups and to hit someting in the vitals at the range you discuss, they would need volleys to do so.
@TheFoundersWereRight uhhh no, your wrong sir. The earliest hunters in N. america used the atlatl these being the folsom and clovis people. There hunting methods were highly sophisticated and did not include "volleys" although you are correct that they very well used methods to slow or trap the animals before using the spear which was thrown by the spear thrower not by hand... this had a detacheable foreshaft so the point stuck into the animal and they did not lose their dart only the point.
@1overthehillsfaraway What Does the Atlatl throw? It is a scaled down version of a full size spear. I am very well aware of history and weapons. Keeping in mind that the spear preceded the atlatl, and even survived as a throwing weapon long after it in the majority of the world, both sides have credit. Africa for example used mostly spears thrown by hand, while Australian Aborigines used a form of spear thrower.
@1overthehillsfaraway Now, keeping in mind how an atlatl is made, you have a moving fulcrom putting force on the rear of the projectile. This can cause quite a bit of torque and as range increases, a loss in accuracy due to the movement of the rear of the projectile. Yes, I have seen spear throwers be quite accurate at close range, but the same is said of the hand thrower. The key is practice practice practice.
@1overthehillsfaraway Also, just thought I should mention, some central/south american tribes used a throwing spear crafted like a giant arrow. It was the native American version of the javelin. Just thought you might like to dig up some information on that if you had not already heard about it. Best of luck in your pursuit of history.
@SuperSmashyfication No, Not the Atlatl. It was actually thrown by arm only, like a Javelin or giant dart. Including Fletchings. This is not the Atlatl I am referring too. I do know how and atlatl works, which Is why I described the throwing grip as a fulcrum in an earlier comment. Another difference between the two weapons is that the Atlatl used a flexible projectile, while the throwing "arrow" was fairly rigid for use of throwing by arm only.
@TheFoundersWereRight ... you should look at videos here on utube illustrating the effecfiveness of spear throwers so you are not under the impression that targets can be hit at the yardages I mentioned. Throwing a spear without a spear thrower is pointless and personally I do not think the person in this video killed that buffalo with that throw if so it would have been a total fluke! Do you now how tough a buffalo is and running by like that? I do believe me I have worked with them up close.
It should also be said from your comment, that after the horse, the native american lance not only functioned as a tool of war but a highly effective hunting tool. Since each warriors lance bore his own pattern for identification, his kills could be counted. Often times not only was being the mightiest or most skilled warrior highly prized, so was the greatest hunter, as the tribe would go hungry without his great prowess. Just trying to put it in perspective.
@madfishmcgolrick this video does not show what happened after he stuck that buffalo with a spear but I can tell you it did not fall over and die and personally I don't believe he killed it. I've owned buffalo. I own horses. I am an archeologist/anthropologist with hundreds of artifacts relating to native hunting methods. I'm not trying to be confrontational but this video is STUPID and this person hunting buffalo like this is an idiot in my opinion! Not the way it was done and for a good reason
@ whisperingdeath308 - I'm sure the Native American people would love to hear you speaking for them, and then claiming the Earths own animals for them..
the Buffalo belongs to the Native American peoples and its disgusting to see them hunted for no other reason than for sport. They were a way of life for the American indian.
@rascalMatt17 You mean steal land without asking, just walk on indian land and say were gonna take it and shoot indians in the dead of winter. That kind mentality?
Hey Have some respect for the vets fighting to keep your ass and your familys ass safe! We fight to keep our loved ones safe and if you dont like it try doing something worth while in your life and serve in the military for a while. Might teach you some respect. Cause nobody gives a rats ass if you think it was wrong to fight the wars that protect our country.
Wow, I am impressed. A modern day white American killing a buffalo with a spear all by himself. A group of africans doing this is ballsy but your nuts must be made of solid kryptonite! You are the best hunter I have ever seen without a doubt.
Even if I don t like hunting because above all I don t need it to eat, you have to be really brave to keep yourself calm and throw the spear at the proper time waiting for a big 600 lbs animal' s getting closer
Man in the video, you're bitchmade. Watch how Africans went right at a Cape Buffalo chucking spears at it and sometimes they were inches away from the animal. Now that's ballsy. Watch that clip.
@umidontno040394 I guess that's why all the countries with brown people are so fucked up right ? All you have to do is look at africa and the middle east... hell even India .... any of them. Look at what happened in Rwanda.... do you even know anything about Rwanda? i doubt it because you sound like an ignorant ass. White people are responsible for just about every technological breakthrough the human race has ever achieved.
@rascalMatt17 White peopel are also responsible for apartheid, genocide and are know for their hatred of other races. I think we need to learn a thing or to from other races. Coloured people tend to be in 3rd world countries because of white discrimination and pettiness.
@Boglaboll So only white men are known for hatred of other races? Sounds to me like YOUR the one filled with hate. There has always been warfare and most of the time it's motivated by greed or religion.... If you look at the genocide going on in Africa and elsewhere ie. Indonesia... It's muslims killing Christians. Most of the genocide today is found in Africa and it's colored people killing other colored people. Hell there's still slavery and child slavery in Africa and Haiti... how ironic.
@rascalMatt17 I'm not saying that only white people are responsible for hatred of other races, but they are well known for previous racism and prejudice.
@Boglaboll Who isn't???? Plus you can't say all white people feel that way just because of the actions of some. We had something called a "Civil War" here in the states to end slavery. LOTS of people died.
@Boglaboll you are incredibly stupid and ignorant. You shouldn't be allowed to leave comments really. Read up on modern day affairs and you'll learn that the white man is as close to good as you can get.
@Boglaboll "Coloured people tend to be in 3rd world countries because of white discrimination and pettiness." And because they slaughter each other needlessly and still carry a tribal mindset... Every culture has a reason for it being the way it is now. There is far more discrimination OF the white people than BY the white people... "White" people are the minority of the world, mind you. It seems you need to learn a bit more about yourself before pointing fingers.
@rascalMatt17 what are "brown people"? you realize skin color has nothing to do with "races". africans (black skinned) are more genetically similar to europeans (pale skin) than they are to aussie aboriginese (black skin). middle is messed up cuz of religion. africa is because of EUROPEAN colonialism and some african assholes. and the chinese invented nearly every major invention. white people just borrowed their ideas and built on them. stop being an racist, people are people. no matter what
@umidontno040394 You know where else was colonized by Europeans? Malaysia, Korea, China, etc. They seem to be doing fine. For another example, South Africa has seen a rise in crime and a reduction in the economy since the "colonists" were forced out of the government and to a large extent business. Finally, the Chinese invented stuff like gunpowder and paper, but airplanes, automobiles, computers, telephones, basically all modern technology was invented by Europeans or their descendants.
@EvilDanHalen i would say the only fine non-european countires are japan (never colonized) and s korea. and countries controled by european descent people count as euro. some are good economically (like india and china) but the standard of living is terrible in a lot of those places. another factor is asians lived like europeans did so they werent forced to much change. africans, americans, australians, polynesians had to go from hunter-gatherer tribes to modern civilization. that doesnt work.
@PeterPeli My personal opinion is based on actual events, not a whole bunch of vague and fictitious circumstances in which a hunter "gets off" to the pain of a living creature. Hunting is in our genes. Weather you want to admit it or not, humans are the ultimate predator. Also like Isaid before we are also among the most mercifully quick and lethal killers out there in the whole of the animal kingdom. Just go watch how utterly brutal a lion kill, bear kill, wolf kill, or hyena kill is.
One more thing notice that to make my point known I did not require the use of curse words. Using cursing is no way to start a meaningful conversation. Cursing only communicates emotion, intolerance, and ignorance. There should not be any need for that type of limiting and hurtful/agressive language.
And before you slam my character no I did not vote for Bush, but I certainly didn't vote for this communist we have in office now.
@PeterPeli You haven't made any point or argument to suggest that your culture is "superior" to mine nor have you given me any reason to believe that you have any experience that allows you to be so aloof of my views. What makes you the expert on this subject? I am quite egger to hear what you think all the tasty animals are around for?
Think about this when a wolf hunts the same animal the pack will drag the animal down after running it to exhaustion. By exhaustion I mean hours and in some cases days of chasing. Then when you think that nature could not be crueler the wolves start to eat the bison ALIVE. Man is a great and merciful hunter by comparison. So all liberal retards SHUT UP!
Dont use this video as an example of traditional, brave,Native or other.
It is purely Western "Man" in his lust for blood,to hurt un-necessarily the gifts around him & to see something suffer besides himself....that`s what "hunting" without need is.
@PeterPeli You are most likely one of the people who agree with ripping an unborn infant out of its mother because of the mother's "so precious right to privacy" and also say that animals have rights and should be treated like humans. Humans alone deserve respect and honor, animals are here to serve our needs. This guy more than likely ate that bison, have you ever had a bison burger delicious.
@PeterPeli If it wasn't a food source i'd agree with you. Truth is... those bison only exist because people that EAT them and HUNT them PRESERVE them by having them on THEIR LAND to be HUNTED and EATEN. And yes, spear hunting is about the oldest form of hunting. The spear probably didn't hurt that much and bleeding out is pretty painless and usually pretty quick. You just pass out. I know because i was shot through the leg with an AK 47 in Iraq and passed out from blood loss.
@natija08 Of course not but i'm also hoping i'm not a food source..... I'm sure that Bison meat is much healthier than any cow meat you could find in the states. Hunting a food source will always be debated by vegetarians and vegans and people who are squeamish. The fact of the matter is that hunting has always existed and probably always will. That's life.
You didn't answer the question how much time it took for the animal to die.
IF you have to hunt (in my opinion it's not necessary to hunt because we all can live healthy lives without meat), why don't you kill the animal as fast as possible?
If you want to show your braveness, why don't you go somewhere in order to save lives?
@natija08 If it penetrated the animals lungs it probably didn't take much time at all. It looked to me that it was probably in a lung. If it was in the intestines it would definitely take longer and be more painful. If that was the case i don't doubt that they had firearms to put the animal out of it's misery. Let's be honest here. These animals are a majestic american icon but they're also a food source. Not everyone wants to be a vegetarian, which is completely understandable.
I see absolutely no reason to kill an animal with a spear. We don't live in stone age-times, don't we?
The buffalo is such an amazing and beautiful animal. Nobody should kill this animal for "fun".
You say this man killed the animal for food. I don't believe that. This man is really excited about his "kill". He definitely killed the animal for "fun".
@natija08 The reason they didn't kill the animal as "fast as possible" is because that's not practical. This was a relatively fast way to kill the animal anyways so your point is irrelevant. As far as showing my "braveness" as you say..... i am a decorated, disabled, special operations veteran/combat medic. So yes i was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan to help save lives. What does that have to do with practicing an ancient hunting technique to obtain some healthy, tasty, bison meat?
Pardon? It's not "practical" to kill the animal as fast as possible?
You just told me that it is painful and would take a long time for the animal to die, if the spear penetrated it in the intestines. And now you try to tell me that there is no other way to kill the animal faster?
You can kill an elephant with a gun, why not a buffalo?
In my opinion the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq didn't save lives. Thousands of people died there!
@natija08 What does 9/11 was an "inside job" have to do with killing a Bison with a spear? It's bison NOT buffalo by the way. If the world goes to shit i suppose the technique of using a spear would come in pretty handy. I also said that i was pretty sure that they could put the animal out of it's misery with a gun if needed. I wonder what's more painful.. dying from a spear or being torn apart by a pack of wolves? I'd rather get speared myself. Especially if they could use a gun to make sure.
YOU said you "saved lives" in the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan. The US-government told you that you have to go there because the USA should have been attacked by Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan and they told you that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and would support Al Qaida.
The title of the video we talk about is: "Traditional Buffalo Hunting with a Spear". So TheSportsManChannel made the mistake.
And you will survive the crisis by killing wild animals with spears? There will be soon no animals left, if 300 million US-citizens want to eat the meat of the wild animals.
I don't see why it should be necessary to kill an animal with a spear, even IF the hunter would put the animal out of it's misery with a gun. He said nothing about it.
Look: We are humans, aren't we? Why shouldn't we behave humanely? ...
@natija08 The humans would kill eachother before they could deplete any animal sources of food over such a vast area as the wilderness areas of the U.S.A. and Canada. Those wild areas are VAST. Spearing is a great technique because it's silent and you can use the spear again and again. The difficulty is getting close enough to use the spear. There are plenty of people who would go into the wilds if civilization broke down. Those who are prepared will have a much better chance of surviving.
Look, some time ago I talked to a ranger of a national park on the German island "Rügen". She told me that the years after World War II the people there killed all the deer in the woods within a few years. They didn't use guns (they had no guns) or spears, they used wire traps.
The German people didn't kill each other in those times. Why do you think US-citizens would kill each other?
@natija08 who cares if it's not humane? For one thing it IS humane if you hit the animal where your supposed to hit them. Second, as i said they have firearms to finish off a wounded animal. Animals are a food source. I love animals too but look at the natural world. It's cruel and as i alread stated... I'd rather be speared than torn apart by wolves. You chose to ignore that comment because it didn't help further your agenda. That's LAME.
this would be a rush

@Noobpatty, don't kid yourself that game would last for more than a few weeks if 300+ million Americans had to revert back to hunting like this. The human population is far too large to survive that way anymore. Livestock have taken over enormous tracts of former wildlife habitat.
I find it interesting that prairie dogs are shot for entertainment, ostensibly to prevent cows from tripping on their holes, yet millions of bison coexisted with them.
Antithropocentric 2 months ago
@Antithropocentric it was joke my friend, you are winrar
Noobpatty 2 months ago

There's no need to kill a buffalo with a spear. If you want to hunt buffalo, just use a very large caliber rifle and be quick and clean. Don't amuse yourselves at an animal's expense.
IsMackinac 3 months ago
@IsMackinac animals were killed with spears and with bows long before guns were thought of hunting the animal with nothing but a spear gives the animal a fair chance
hellwolf882 3 months ago
@hellwolf882 Yes, but when they were dispatched with spears people were fairly desperate and hungry; but as soon as they got better weapons and tools they used them. Buffalo meat is one of the very best and leanest there is, better than beef. But show the animal as much respect as you can, if you're going to hunt them get close and use a big bore rifle that takes them quickly.

IsMackinac 5 months ago

APPLEPIE978 5 months ago
@ljeonjko this is on a farm these buffalo are farm raised and live inside a fenced in area. Also, this is stupid video buffalos where never hunted with a thrown spear... plains indians used a spear or lance from horseback it was never thrown. Many preferred the lance or bow to firearm because they were faster and more efficient then a firearm...
1overthehillsfaraway 5 months ago
@1overthehillsfaraway Learn your history. Horses aren't native to North America.
madfishmcgolrick 5 months ago
@madfishmcgolrick I'm trying to teach history by my reply..... if you want to talk about before the horse was used by native americans I can explain that to you. People used what is called an atlatl or spear thrower. Look it up on utube to learn about it. Throwing a spear by hand and trying kill a large animal is something that was not done because it was not effective. People used the spear thrower because it increased the effective range to hundreds of yards.
1overthehillsfaraway 5 months ago
@1overthehillsfaraway Yes, but before the Atlatl was made they still relied on the spear, whether throwing it, or cornering an animal for a stabbing attack. The spear was used as a hunting tool long before the atlatl. The natural progression of hunting tools being the spear, the atlatle, and on to the bow and arrow. Now, about the range. Please remember that people also hunted in groups and to hit someting in the vitals at the range you discuss, they would need volleys to do so.
TheFoundersWereRight 5 months ago
@TheFoundersWereRight uhhh no, your wrong sir. The earliest hunters in N. america used the atlatl these being the folsom and clovis people. There hunting methods were highly sophisticated and did not include "volleys" although you are correct that they very well used methods to slow or trap the animals before using the spear which was thrown by the spear thrower not by hand... this had a detacheable foreshaft so the point stuck into the animal and they did not lose their dart only the point.
1overthehillsfaraway 5 months ago
@1overthehillsfaraway What Does the Atlatl throw? It is a scaled down version of a full size spear. I am very well aware of history and weapons. Keeping in mind that the spear preceded the atlatl, and even survived as a throwing weapon long after it in the majority of the world, both sides have credit. Africa for example used mostly spears thrown by hand, while Australian Aborigines used a form of spear thrower.
TheFoundersWereRight 5 months ago
@1overthehillsfaraway Now, keeping in mind how an atlatl is made, you have a moving fulcrom putting force on the rear of the projectile. This can cause quite a bit of torque and as range increases, a loss in accuracy due to the movement of the rear of the projectile. Yes, I have seen spear throwers be quite accurate at close range, but the same is said of the hand thrower. The key is practice practice practice.
TheFoundersWereRight 5 months ago
@1overthehillsfaraway Also, just thought I should mention, some central/south american tribes used a throwing spear crafted like a giant arrow. It was the native American version of the javelin. Just thought you might like to dig up some information on that if you had not already heard about it. Best of luck in your pursuit of history.
TheFoundersWereRight 5 months ago
@TheFoundersWereRight Yeah, the AtlAtl. It fitted onto a sort of wooden lever and which was swung overarm to hurl the spear. Bloody lethal.
SuperSmashyfication 4 months ago
@SuperSmashyfication No, Not the Atlatl. It was actually thrown by arm only, like a Javelin or giant dart. Including Fletchings. This is not the Atlatl I am referring too. I do know how and atlatl works, which Is why I described the throwing grip as a fulcrum in an earlier comment. Another difference between the two weapons is that the Atlatl used a flexible projectile, while the throwing "arrow" was fairly rigid for use of throwing by arm only.
TheFoundersWereRight 4 months ago
@TheFoundersWereRight ... you should look at videos here on utube illustrating the effecfiveness of spear throwers so you are not under the impression that targets can be hit at the yardages I mentioned. Throwing a spear without a spear thrower is pointless and personally I do not think the person in this video killed that buffalo with that throw if so it would have been a total fluke! Do you now how tough a buffalo is and running by like that? I do believe me I have worked with them up close.
1overthehillsfaraway 5 months ago
It should also be said from your comment, that after the horse, the native american lance not only functioned as a tool of war but a highly effective hunting tool. Since each warriors lance bore his own pattern for identification, his kills could be counted. Often times not only was being the mightiest or most skilled warrior highly prized, so was the greatest hunter, as the tribe would go hungry without his great prowess. Just trying to put it in perspective.
TheFoundersWereRight 5 months ago
@madfishmcgolrick this video does not show what happened after he stuck that buffalo with a spear but I can tell you it did not fall over and die and personally I don't believe he killed it. I've owned buffalo. I own horses. I am an archeologist/anthropologist with hundreds of artifacts relating to native hunting methods. I'm not trying to be confrontational but this video is STUPID and this person hunting buffalo like this is an idiot in my opinion! Not the way it was done and for a good reason

White people are responsible for just about every technological breakthrough the human race has ever achieved.
rascalMatt17 9 months ago
@rascalMatt17 White peopel are also responsible for apartheid, genocide and are know for their hatred of other races. I think we need to learn a thing or to from other races. Coloured people tend to be in 3rd world countries because of white discrimination and pettiness.
Boglaboll 8 months ago
@Boglaboll So only white men are known for hatred of other races? Sounds to me like YOUR the one filled with hate. There has always been warfare and most of the time it's motivated by greed or religion.... If you look at the genocide going on in Africa and elsewhere ie. Indonesia... It's muslims killing Christians. Most of the genocide today is found in Africa and it's colored people killing other colored people. Hell there's still slavery and child slavery in Africa and Haiti... how ironic.
rascalMatt17 8 months ago
@rascalMatt17 I'm not saying that only white people are responsible for hatred of other races, but they are well known for previous racism and prejudice.

jdmurray11 7 months ago
@Boglaboll "Coloured people tend to be in 3rd world countries because of white discrimination and pettiness." And because they slaughter each other needlessly and still carry a tribal mindset... Every culture has a reason for it being the way it is now. There is far more discrimination OF the white people than BY the white people... "White" people are the minority of the world, mind you. It seems you need to learn a bit more about yourself before pointing fingers.
blindwit 7 months ago
@rascalMatt17 what are "brown people"? you realize skin color has nothing to do with "races". africans (black skinned) are more genetically similar to europeans (pale skin) than they are to aussie aboriginese (black skin). middle is messed up cuz of religion. africa is because of EUROPEAN colonialism and some african assholes. and the chinese invented nearly every major invention. white people just borrowed their ideas and built on them. stop being an racist, people are people. no matter what
umidontno040394 3 months ago
@umidontno040394 You know where else was colonized by Europeans? Malaysia, Korea, China, etc. They seem to be doing fine. For another example, South Africa has seen a rise in crime and a reduction in the economy since the "colonists" were forced out of the government and to a large extent business. Finally, the Chinese invented stuff like gunpowder and paper, but airplanes, automobiles, computers, telephones, basically all modern technology was invented by Europeans or their descendants.
EvilDanHalen 3 months ago

Zeawlf 10 months ago

Not even close to "traditional"...
Dont use this video as an example of traditional, brave,Native or other.
It is purely Western "Man" in his lust for blood,to hurt un-necessarily the gifts around him & to see something suffer besides himself....that`s what "hunting" without need is.
PeterPeli 10 months ago
@PeterPeli You are most likely one of the people who agree with ripping an unborn infant out of its mother because of the mother's "so precious right to privacy" and also say that animals have rights and should be treated like humans. Humans alone deserve respect and honor, animals are here to serve our needs. This guy more than likely ate that bison, have you ever had a bison burger delicious.
Zeawlf 10 months ago
@PeterPeli If it wasn't a food source i'd agree with you. Truth is... those bison only exist because people that EAT them and HUNT them PRESERVE them by having them on THEIR LAND to be HUNTED and EATEN. And yes, spear hunting is about the oldest form of hunting. The spear probably didn't hurt that much and bleeding out is pretty painless and usually pretty quick. You just pass out. I know because i was shot through the leg with an AK 47 in Iraq and passed out from blood loss.
rascalMatt17 9 months ago 23
@rascalMatt17
Do you want to be hurt by a spear or an arrow?
How much hours did it take for the bison to die?
I can't understand why hunters LIKE to use cruel methods of killing.
natija08 9 months ago
@natija08
Sorry, I wanted to say "... how MANY hours..."
natija08 9 months ago
@natija08 Of course not but i'm also hoping i'm not a food source..... I'm sure that Bison meat is much healthier than any cow meat you could find in the states. Hunting a food source will always be debated by vegetarians and vegans and people who are squeamish. The fact of the matter is that hunting has always existed and probably always will. That's life.
rascalMatt17 9 months ago
@rascalMatt17
You didn't answer the question how much time it took for the animal to die.
IF you have to hunt (in my opinion it's not necessary to hunt because we all can live healthy lives without meat), why don't you kill the animal as fast as possible?
If you want to show your braveness, why don't you go somewhere in order to save lives?
natija08 7 months ago
@natija08 If it penetrated the animals lungs it probably didn't take much time at all. It looked to me that it was probably in a lung. If it was in the intestines it would definitely take longer and be more painful. If that was the case i don't doubt that they had firearms to put the animal out of it's misery. Let's be honest here. These animals are a majestic american icon but they're also a food source. Not everyone wants to be a vegetarian, which is completely understandable.
rascalMatt17 7 months ago
@rascalMatt17
He definitely killed the animal for "fun".
natija08 7 months ago
@natija08 The reason they didn't kill the animal as "fast as possible" is because that's not practical. This was a relatively fast way to kill the animal anyways so your point is irrelevant. As far as showing my "braveness" as you say..... i am a decorated, disabled, special operations veteran/combat medic. So yes i was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan to help save lives. What does that have to do with practicing an ancient hunting technique to obtain some healthy, tasty, bison meat?
rascalMatt17 7 months ago
@rascalMatt17
9/11 was an inside job.
natija08 7 months ago
@natija08 What does 9/11 was an "inside job" have to do with killing a Bison with a spear? It's bison NOT buffalo by the way. If the world goes to shit i suppose the technique of using a spear would come in pretty handy. I also said that i was pretty sure that they could put the animal out of it's misery with a gun if needed. I wonder what's more painful.. dying from a spear or being torn apart by a pack of wolves? I'd rather get speared myself. Especially if they could use a gun to make sure.
rascalMatt17 7 months ago
@rascalMatt17
In German language we use "Bison".
natija08 7 months ago
@rascalMatt17 - part 2
What do you think will happen to the world?
And you will survive the crisis by killing wild animals with spears? There will be soon no animals left, if 300 million US-citizens want to eat the meat of the wild animals.
I don't see why it should be necessary to kill an animal with a spear, even IF the hunter would put the animal out of it's misery with a gun. He said nothing about it.
Look: We are humans, aren't we? Why shouldn't we behave humanely? ...
natija08 7 months ago
@natija08 The humans would kill eachother before they could deplete any animal sources of food over such a vast area as the wilderness areas of the U.S.A. and Canada. Those wild areas are VAST. Spearing is a great technique because it's silent and you can use the spear again and again. The difficulty is getting close enough to use the spear. There are plenty of people who would go into the wilds if civilization broke down. Those who are prepared will have a much better chance of surviving.
rascalMatt17 6 months ago
@rascalMatt17
Oh, I see: US-citizens all have guns at home.

Hunting with spears or bows isn't humane.
natija08 7 months ago
@natija08 who cares if it's not humane? For one thing it IS humane if you hit the animal where your supposed to hit them. Second, as i said they have firearms to finish off a wounded animal. Animals are a food source. I love animals too but look at the natural world. It's cruel and as i alread stated... I'd rather be speared than torn apart by wolves. You chose to ignore that comment because it didn't help further your agenda. That's LAME.
