  • This was the only version of "Look For a Star" that was done after 1960. The three other versions of that tune were all done in 1960, when the movie "Circus of Horrors" premiered, which were done by Billy Vaughn and His Orchestra, Garry Miles and Deane Hawley.

  • Lovely version - who sang the original?

  • @Phaedrax2

It was most likely Garry Miles because he had recorded two versions of that tune, one that was in the soundtrack from the movie "Circus of Horrors" which came out in 1960 and also a pop version as well back then, and also that tune was done by Billy Vaughn and His Orchestra and Dean Hawley that year as well. The Brook Brothers' version was done later and was the final version of that tune.

  • @Phaedrax2 Not really sure. There were two versions out at the same time in 1960; Garry Miles and Garry Mills.

  • Does anyone know where the brothers are nowadays? I would like to get in touch with them for a forthcoming book.

  • Look below (and also see my posting of their 'Ain't Gonna Wash For A Week') for a comment from their grandchildren. I think they live in Canada now.
