  • Actually there are 2 ships in this video. the first is a fishing vessel, the second is a frigate or destroyer. And yes the NAVY video is real or atleast I have been though seas similar to those.

  • OMG !!!!

  • No problem. And actually a cruise ship could do the same thing, except that the paying tourist lamers would dislike having the ride, and the decoration would fall off the walls and shatter.

  • I've heard that the if you get extremely sea-sick the ultimate treatment is called "the silver bullet", a suppository you have to insert up to the first knuckle.

  • Diese Szene würde ich gern noch mal mit der Titanic sehen :-)

  • Which video is for real, or is either? There's a youtube video titled "50 foot seas extremely rough water" which is the same as this one, posted by someone else. Please explain, thanks.

  • @singbecause this vid is real ,it from documentery call Oceans !

  • Comment removed

  • 0.26 on for 3 or 4, large hauling structure on stern, paint job changes, decks change, need I go on

  • Some of its a fishing vessel and it's fake

  • @sitwosaints not fake but ur right its a Fishing vessel

  • is this real? it looks awesome

  • Love the GoPro shot in the crows nest!

  • I play battleship a lot and that's a frigate not a battleship

  • going through this in a 40 ft sailboat!!

  • I'm a sailor, but I would shit bricks..

  • I love the ocean but to be out in that you must have balls that clank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i don't think it's a destroyer, most likely a frigate.

  • im a salor, and I have the right to say GET ME OFFA THIS BOAT! SHIT JUST GOT REAL!!!

  • Can you imagine being in a makeshift crows nest above the ship??? CRAZY

  • Thats a frigate, not a destroyer. I was on a destroyer in 30 foot seas, we handled it better than the frigates.

  • i'd love to be on the tip of that boat...

  • Hahaha definitely not a video for those who become seasick (easily) :P

  • Amazing what they can do with computers these days aint it??

  • i wonder how they even got off with those gigantic balls

  • love the conan MUSIC too

  • EPIC !

  • 1:09 we have liftoff :D

  • Track name please? :)

  • @TheShAdOwFoRm track name is Ocean will be ! by Bruno Coulais

  • @kakerat01 Was this Destroyer located in the North Sea? I felt somewhat sea-sick merely watching the movement' of these vessels! Appreciate the vid. best wishes.

  • Solowing808 the boats were made of wood, they were lighter and floated, why does a seagull sit in the same sea light and float.

  • Fabrication of the Perfect Storm but tat was not a destroyer.

  • Looks like a load of crap to me.

  • may be it's a movie scene .

  • Something tells me you'd be in a lot less danger if you were on a smaller vessel, e.g a surfboard: None of these waves are breaking, you'd just float up and down with them.

  • @surfcello test this for us then tell us the results.

  • at 0:27 i feel sorry for those guys

  • this is the strongest power in the world not even people can stop water

  • hohoho, would love to be on that ship in that storm, looks awesome

  • If someone tells me that navy are bunch of pussies cause they don't go to the front line I'll send them this link

  • I am a fierce rider of the waves! Bow at my feet!

  • WOW i would not want to come across that "destroyer" its so powerful i looks like a fishing boat and doesn't need guns!

  • The destroyer looks like one of the French Navy's 'Georges Leygues class frigates'.

  • awesome !

  • nice!

  • who was the crazy motherfucker who filmed this???

  • @grkoslav165

    My sentiments exactly.

  • That takes guts

  • everyone to busy looking at the boats,,question is , who shot the video?

  • @billyboy1805 no no the better question is HOW do you shoot a video of a ship in THOSE big waves .

  • @billyboy1805 god

  • @billyboy1805

    Captain Ron

  • @billyboy1805 Seagull cam.

  • @billyboy1805 mostly CGI that warship dosnt quite look real to me

  • @billyboy1805 Helicopter

  • @billyboy1805 helicopters and gyro stabilised rigs

  • @billyboy1805 nuck chorris

  • @billyboy1805 A brave ass helicopter.

  • Cool

  • How the fuck did our ancestors cross the ocean with little wooden sailboats? xD

  • @SoloWing808 like a boss

  • @SoloWing808 There are also many sailors from those days buried out there - But these loongboats the eks Vikings used was very seastark - I was fishing in the Nord sea from 86 -91 I was sailing with woddenshibs 40-50 tons -They are so incridebel sea stark!

  • @SoloWing808 Shear dumb luck

  • @SoloWing808 the way i think they did is this! if you have ever seen surfers at the beah, the little surfboards need alot of wave size to get goin, but on the same wave a guy with a wider 10 foot board is able to catch that wave and go, so if your in a dinky bpat out there u may have a good chance of just surfing down each wave, as compared to some big ass mass which could just get picked upa and sent surfin right down a wave never to come back up<

  • @SoloWing808 that was way before the worlds weather went to shit.

  • @YourEarthOnDrugs You must of watched that Al Gore movie.

  • @SoloWing808 .... i`m sure the mortality rate was through the roof for ocean going sailors back in the day ...they had to assume they werent coming back , or they wouldnt be able to do it in the first place .. much like going to war

  • @SoloWing808 with big ass balls

  • @SoloWing808 A lot of them didn't.

  • @SoloWing808 Those were real men.

  • @SoloWing808 With guts. A lot of guts.

  • @SoloWing808 Balls of steel

  • @SoloWing808 some ballsy motherfuckers

  • @SoloWing808 skills LOL

  • @SoloWing808 Jack Sparrow. That's how.

  • @SoloWing808 Many didn't... they're still at the bottom of the ocean =P

  • @SoloWing808 You have to remember a lot didnt make it. Taking a boat across an ocean back in the time of sail and even steam was very dangerous.

  • @SoloWing808 thier huge balls kept the ballast low in the water so it all balanced out

  • @SoloWing808 They didn't always make it. :)

  • @SoloWing808 They died

  • @SoloWing808

With big brass balls, and the likelyhood you would survive, on average, no more than 3 crossings of the Atlantic.

  • First boat, fishing trawler, second boat naval vessel. Very cool, and I love the soundtrack, very appropriate.

  • @DavePhillips671 No. The first boat is the Abeille Bourbon or Abeille Liberté (sister ships), french salvage tugs.

  • Beautiful. I love this video

    I favorited!!!!!

  • Their assholes must have puckered so much it took a month before they could crap again.

  • 1:04 OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT ??!!

  • @MathieuCore2 Large wave exaggerated by the 45deg camera angle. Wave appears bigger and steeper than what it is

  • @ozmetaldrummer sure

  • whats this song

  • Is this real

  • scene from movie "oceans" by disney nature

  • I was just gonna go back to watching big landslides..where I came from..without reading any comments on this video..then I thought "there's bound to be some funny comments here"..but nope..so yeeeaahhh

  • This is why I joined the Army and not the Navy.

  • I'm seasick by just watching this video. Damn

  • Epic

  • c'est l'abeille bourbon, remorqueur de Brest, images tirées du film Océan

  • time to bust out the kneeboards..

  • Blarfff.....

  • One wrong move, and that mighty beast sinks like a paper boat.

  • That last wave was fucking huge

  • i would stand on the front and pretend its a roller coaster xD

  • Does anyone know if there is any more footage of the destroyer shown in this clip. I cant find any more footage or any info about this. Anyone?

  • Why am I getting nervous and scared watching this?

  • the balance on that ship is incredible

  • I use to read responses, now I just thumbs down anyone who has been shot in the knee.

  • Is there a second destroyer just to film that destroyer? :O

  • @Jarzard1 Prolly' an helicopter.

  • @LoliWolf Remarkably steady filming it if was, given the strength of the wind.

  • im a little disappointed that the wave and the destroyer dont actually fight.

  • I'd be spewing so much I'd turn inside out!!!

  • i just watched this video exept it was called big waves vs ship

  • @StreetDoggydog1995 u also used to do flips off cliffs

  • I'd shit myself

  • these cant be waves , they are giant water mountains.

  • i'de be scared as fuck. ._.

  • how bigs the boat filming it.

  • @2codylicious , It's as big as a helicopter.

  • i bet this is great for fishing lol

  • Very impressive but also spare a thought for the person in the rubber dinghy filming this.

  • seaman porn

  • 20 people have second thoughts about becoming a sailor

  • or a fishing boat

  • You Armyfags think you got it bad with IEDs?

  • @Ilovehorsepenis1 I didnt see anyone being maimed or killed by those waves hitting the destroyer.

  • I would love to be swimming in there! :D

  • Lovely weather to be in, I was in navy eighteen years

  • Screw that shit. I'd be so sick, I'd be begging people to kill me.

  • full steam ahead head between your knees and kiss your azz good luck

  • That is why I joined the USAF. Sure would get sea sick! Never got air sick..LOL

  • What program is this from?

  • I'm sea sick and I'm sitting at my desk.

  • Yeah isn't this from that Clooney film? CGI Baby

  • like a BOSS

  • any body not getting sea sick must be some kind of alien

  • 0:50 best shot in the video

  • Don't know why my comment disappeared.. again.

    In order of appearance :

-Abeille Bourbon, Emergency tow vessel based in Brest(France).

-Veronika, Fishing vessel based in Guilvinec(France).

    -Abeille Bourbon.

    -Latouche-Tréville, anti-submarine frigate based in Brest(France).

    Film : Oceans (@ 1h19min).

  • I want the original track that I am hearing in this video. does anyone know ?

  • Well...Now I know I don't want to join the navy.

  • It makes you wonder how those ships stay afloat

  • That takes some balls of steel to be in the middle of that storm in that ship. I would totally shit my pants.

  • That was insane, that top view awesome

  • 00:36 Like a boss

  • wow, absolute amazing, the ocean is the only one Dark Lord of Nature

  • those are big

  • Who the hell is stupid enough to take a little boat out in that shit!?!?

One wrong turn and your goin down!!!

  • FUKKKKKKKKKKK THAT SHIT!!!!

  • CGI has come a long way.

  • Second vessel looked more like a frigate or destroyer escort than a destroyer. It was small to be a destroyer.

  • waves didnt have a chance.

  • in soviet Russia waves ride you.

  • who thinks this is a destroyer?

  • @Canoe571 There are 2 vessels in the video. The first one is NOT a destroyer. The first vessel is more like a ocean tugboat and rescue vessel. The second vessel that appeared beginning at 0:35 is indeed a destroyer.

  • If you look carefully at the last seconds of the video it becomes apparent that is stretched out a bit. Kinda like they did in those old cow boy movies.

  • the last scene is not that bad, its filmed from the sky, so it looks asif they're going neally 90degree's. when really its flat

  • what is the beat on this video????????

  • so scary

  • Wish that was longer.

  • thats some cool shit

  • Dang! i was mesmerized for the whole 1:20. went by in a second.
