every Dilla instrumental I have ever heard is so dope & creative, I have been listening to Dilla for years now, & he never failed to bring the ultimate vibe & essence of what true hip hop should sound like. Dilla's ear drums were a true miracle of nature!!
Homie, that's the album artwork from one of my cd's that I produced.. I made 30 copies of that cd, and you somehow got the artwork for it. haha, where'd you find it?
@montanaboy99 Well, someone was using it as the artwork for his New Slave tape. I know that some Dilla heads try to collect as much rare photos and fan made artwork as they can, so one of us must have stubmled across your album and admired the artwork enough to "borrow it" ;]
Anyways, hope you don't mind me using it on this vid fam, it's a dope tribute.
@Dillasirens No worries man! I just thought it was funny seeing my CD artwork for this video. But thats whats up, glad you liked it enough to borrow it haha. Peace & Respect!
@5thelementsart lol for sure not trying to be a dick. Pretty sure he used tge 3000 and his bro has it now illaj but doesnt use it cause toull blow up if u touch it and your not dilla
it was said in a documentary that he used one of the korg : electribe series machines after relocating to LA.. they didnt specify which one though.. i own an ES1 sampling electribe.. good for lofi sounds...
@RENEGADExSHinObi Dilla did most of his early stuff on a emu sp1200. He used the akai mpc3000 and the emu sp1200 together to craft most of his more well know stuff in his mid to later years. At times he incorporated synths such as the korg triton into his production as well.
@xlmidi Oh ok, I didn't know he used a Emu SP 1200! But thanks for the info, I was looking to buying an instrument for sampling, so I might consider some of these! Thank you!
hehe,my version of Stupid Lies it better :D
