@emireitor well man thnx for the demonstration.. i got one question thou, wont remapping wear out ur engine?!? in a sense that the engine would be workin more than its supposed to be to give u more horsepower and hence more torque. so ull have to change parts often.. appreciate ur time anyways.. :)
@alex10163 hey alex, not really, this remap is not that extreme. the engine wakes up and the turbo gives you what it really should for its size. I have spoken with the guys at the shop (specialize in vw, audi & porsche) and they told me that only when you go stage 3 plus is when you might want to start changing other things. I think gti should come at least stage one from factory. I have stage 2, running on 27k miles and not one cough. Cheers dude
Hi i just bought a dsg autobahn 2011 gti and im planning on tuning it, i think the first thing i will get is the turboback exhaust, and then the ecu upgrade to stage 1 at least for now, what do you recommend doing first? exhaust or ecu upgrade? and also how much hp gain are you getting with just the first stage?
@Citricz hi, listen, exhaust does not make a big difference in these cars. u will need it if you mod heavily but bang for the buck, go get your stage 1. you will have a smile for months and will keep up with some fast cars. to a downpipe next and stage II. I have Revo stage II, THE NEW STAGE II and ATP downpipe, all cost me about 1K and this thing goes. my new stage II i'm way faster that this vid. catback, leave it for last
@cetinjee hi, not sure if you have a GTI or not, but if you do, don't be discouraged by the vids, they don't mke justice to the difference in speed. Specially after learning how to really get all the juice out of this small turbo. I had 10k miles when i shot this vid. now at 20k, i can really make this thing go and still surprise myself when i keep up with really fast cars
@emireitor hey im almost positive im getting the new GTI soon. im thinkin about putting an intake in you think i will be happy with the results? dont get me wrong i love the gti stock
@cetinjee i suppose you didint read my previous comment :)
i think its quick, but my plan was to sell my gti and buy the mk6 and chip it stage 2 with exhaust and intake, now that i see this... its not what i expected. no disrespect! lovely car!
nice vid, just got a 2011 black 4 door gti manuel and was surprised to hear that stage 1 doesnt void warranty, i think stage 2 also. probs gonna get the stage 1, just wanna know how well does the car handle the extra power for stage 1 and stage 2 reliability wise? thx
@69mrbrightside691 the car is the same thing as far as reliability. honest opinion, do AT LEAST stage one, you will have a smile for months to come when you start surprising all these cars that say, oh, well, a 200hp gti i should be able to take him and then WHAAAM! they get ur dust. Stage one is amazing, stage two is great too, more power top end and amazing sound (too bad u dont have dsg for the shift noise), DO IT
great video, they should come stage 1 from the factory especially for the price. i guess if your spending 28000+ an extra 500 isn't a big deal though.
@Drewwberry you are completely right. is just a matter of tweaking the ECU for more turbo boost and thats it. it would put the gti on a much better place stock against its competitors
yeah i got about 11.49 forthe stage one and like 11.78 forthe stage 2????you would think the stage 2 would be alot faster than the stage one but i would have to say they are pretty much the same.
@h8tow8ck2 I know where my mistake was, if you pay close attention to the video, when I do stock and stake 1m you hear the 'pedal to the metal' noise, clicking the two gear drop button. When I did the stage two test, i didn't really step on it like I did in the previous one, plus I had windows down...my bad. All I can say is that I will beat a stage 1 anyday.. I can say that because I had it and I am faster now. cheers
@emireitor Okay, I'm in the similar situation.. I have MKV (TSI) Stg1, want to go to APR Stg2 but it's $2,500K (RSC turboback w Carbonio intake) and I just don't know if it's worth it..... any more feedback on your Stg1->2 would be much appreciated.
@h8tow8ck2 wow, thats a big chunk of money. when I was stage one, it only took the downpipe (329.00) plus the software 'update' 80 bucks.....from my own experience, stage one makes the car very quick already, the thing is that the downpipe gives it an awesome sound (hopefully u have DSG) when you shift it is amazing. I have raced a few times and that is when I am glad it is stage 2.
@emireitor I'm a newb when it comes to Stg2 and downpipe. Is the downpipe different from the APR turbo back config which includes the high flowing cat, in other words is the downpipe cat-less?
Also if I go that route, who would help me w Stg2 software?
@h8tow8ck2 ok, on mk6 gtis, the cat back doesn't give you a big difference on performance, just sound. When you change the downpipe, yes, you lose the catalytic converter but you let so much more air flow, specially doing a 3" one. Don't spend all that money on the exhaust, specially not the apr, go get stage 1, get downpipe and then stage two is just to delete the check engine light (CEL) due to no cat. it will be FAST. just beat a G37s like an hour ago after the heat game,,,,
@h8tow8ck2 Listen, when you go past 5K revs and 100 mph, you will be surprised the cars you can either keep up with or destroy. I have raced some serious shit and not to say our cars are the fastest out there, but you will def. raise some eyebrows....love it when they pull up and ask 'WTF is in that thing'? i have stock exhaust with 3'' downpipe....GET IT
@rsbiggart i would still beat you with mine......j/k man!! it actually is faster, I believe I didn't punch it as hard that time but on DSG mode one can really notice the difference....just got lazy and posted the first vid I made

wow... i am a huge mk6 fan, but they just dissapointed me.. i thought stage 2 270hp would FLY...
i have a stage 1+ in my mk4 1.8t, and its faster than this... my car produces around 230hp...

If you time 40-100mph with stopwatch for Stg1 and Stg2 the times are exactly the same 12sec.
