Really people need to be in back of the boat lower unit up hook it up and give it some gas and your done ive been loading boats since i was 12 not that hard
Ensure wheel guards are level with the waterline, let the rollers do the guiding of the boat on the trailer. Currents and wind blowing your boat around will also be a factor. Another way I do it when in windy condtions is to drive the boat part way on and keep the revs at just an amount so that the boat has presure against the first rollers then it can be wound in by another person. Honestly you'd be pissing me off if I had to watch this at my local ramp. This person is not an experienced boater!!!! 1st don't back the trailer so far into the water. 2nd don't run over the fenders. 3 there is a place for the keel of the boat which is between the two fenders and drive the boat to the bow stop and you won't have screw with the winch strap. It takes me 30 seconds max to load my much larger boat if you do it "correctly"!

What? Of course you drive the boat onto a trailer. If you're a noob at it, then sure, stop short and winch it on. Otherwise, a good boat driver can park a boat squarely on the trailer, blip the throttle and just kiss the v-bumper. The trick is to have the trailer at the right depth in the water. My trailer for example is set correctly when I can barely see the fenders break the water's surface.
