They say this bullshit EVERY election cycle and it just isn't true because young people are not the largest voting segment of the population. Actually, they are quite small.

Part of that is because we aborted 1/3 of my generation (I'm 31).

Sadly, that's also a big contributing factor for how fast social security is going bankrupt. There's a lot less new people paying into the system than there are drawing from the system. Also, people live longer now than they have in the past.

At this point people my age don't see secial security as a promise. It's just another tax.

oxfe... but you are right, some young voters do get it. But if a person hears one word and thinks that that by itself will make the world better, they have another thing coming. You need to look at a persons background and believe system history like whether or not they hang out with people that once set off bomb in this country and don't feel bad about it to this day.
