  • I am deeply impressed.

    xD

  • Zzzzzzz

  • @christinayanyuk Not unless you store it in an airtight container.

  • You think we dont know how to roll clay?...

  • Hmmm.... Very cute show, but better lighting would help to see more detail, and something a little less important, but might make your area a bit brighter is to maybe have a different solid color backdrop, but overall, cute video! And I think you two should make a tutorial on how to make face canes! It would be very nice! Good luck, and I hope very much you two keep posting! :)

  • can you paint it? if so what kind?

  • good information, wish the quality was better- hard to see anything in detail..

  • whats your most preferred polymer clay

  • @megapie12345

It depends on what I am doing I prefer Fimo classic for caning and like Premo for sculpting and such.

  • can u use polymer for animation..?

  • I probably wouldn't. I would probably use the clay that most schools have (the multi volored kind) I'm not really sure of the name of it, but you can get it at most craft stores for $2-$4 a pack, most of them have 4 sticks in a pack (kind of looks like colorful sticks of butter lol). -Not sure if I helped, but I tried lol-

  • Nice intro video for beginners to polymer clay & the tools used. Video a little hard to see much detail but over all very good informational video-thank you for sharing :)

  • What kind of pigments are used?

  • Finally, a good beginner video on Youtube! But my questions still aren't answered: How in the world do you get sticky clay? That's what I want is sticky clay! What I have (it is a very cheap block) dries extremely quickly, and the different parts don't mesh well. Instead, they just keep to themselves and refuse to mold together. Then again, I want to make stand-alone figures (like outstreched arms of a person type).

  • Perhaps the clay you bought is old?? It's better to get them online :)

  • It's possible that your clay has been partially cured on accident, and that's why it gets dried and cracked, or it's simply been leeched of its plasticity.

What I recommend is to get a small food processor. Cut up your clay in small chunks and add a little bit of baby oil to it. Process the clay. it should be in tiny little balls. knead it in your hands, and if it's not sticky enough, add more baby oil as you see fit.

If it continues to crack, your clay is probably partially cured :(

  • u just roll it in ur hands and play with it till it gets hot then it gets stiky

  • try mixing it with a little olive oil or vasiline

  • Try going to Sculpey III as its still cheaper clay, but doesn't dry out. The only downside to Sculpey is that it must rest longer than most other clays. Or try Fimo Soft.... VERY easy to work with, and gets sticky enough to adhere to itself and other clays but not too sticky as to cling to your fingers and work surface.

  • @ColonelMarksman Fimo works extremely well. Fimo, Premo, and Sculpey are really good polymer products. If your question hasn't been answered in a year ;)

  • i use a pasta machine, its easier than a roller.

  • Oh hey can you make out a basic supply list for someone starting out in polymer clay, and inexpensive name brands for clay?

  • I loved your video, but, all the stuff you were talking about in your first video do you have a website or something as to where to get some of the stuff you use? Like the colored roller?

  • Hobby Lobby has the purple rollers in the cake decorating section.

  • excelant directions advice how to's I subscribe to this cause I am very much into this stuff and learning allot from u 2 thankx

  • Wonderful, thank you so much for that useful information. I just started polymer recently, it's a lot of fun and your videos are just what I'm looking for when it comes to tips and tutorials. Where online can I get those texture rods you show?

  • cooooooooooooooooool, i've ben wanting to learn how to use these tools and such, sweetness.

  • THANK YOU for sharing all of your polyclay TV posts. I think that you're on to something really great. I also think, if you guys were just more professional or a little more polished it would be superbbbb! Also, I.B. try decafe, tee hee hee. Truly now, the one thing I do know about public speaking is that people talk about 3X faster than they should. I wish you much success. Thank you again for the posts!

  • This was the very first video we did and we get better each time so stay tuned. Enjoy!
