i wanna ask you a question, im looking at buying a hondat ATC 200X but everyone tells me they are deathtraps, and they flip easily but when i watch ur video it doesnt really seem that much different then a quad and im a pretty good rider so i want ur opinion, are they really that hard to control and dangerous?

Its just that honda cares more about durability, and they make their models more simple rather than having a very fast model that only last like 2 or three years. Youll probably find more hondas still on the trail that are twenty years old than yamaha kawasaki or suzukis. If you compare a trx450 with a yfz 450 you can see the difference in simplicity. such as honda sticking with the proven carb rather than fuel injection.

thats a fact, I see hondas from the eighties very commonly on the trails, the old ones from other brands I see are all completely restored to make them run, many of the old hondas are beat and old but are still going!

I've got a 1983 250R. I just took the motor apart two days ago because i wanted to inspect it.

It was still all factory piston wrist pin etc. It still ran very strong, but i decided to rebuild it after i found a crack on the piston skirt.

25 YEARS on a STOCK 2 stroke honda motor. it still ran very strong.

i just got an 83 with three motors and a dg exhaust. the one on the bike is 30 over. one spare is 60 over. the other is either 70 or 80 but it needs to be rebuilt.

thanks for the comment, I only get to ride a couple of times over winter since i'm at school most of the year, it sucks, yeah i started off with cycles, 73 cb200 with a huge sprocket to gear it down, i was 9 years old, then we got some old xl 250 and xl 500 dirtbikes that my dad and i rode for awhile, a lot of fun
