How many other people do you know of actually do hardcore speedruns? I can barely accomplish anything fast, in regular mode lol. And in hardcore mode, I go EXTRA slow and careful lol... This whole play through is blowing my mind, and I am not a (total) noob either lol.

@kaiseraoi444 Pretty sure yrimir made a video about grinding hellstone and its actually much faster except you need more items (gills potion, obsidian skin) but tunneling can be done the second you get into hell

@CrystalPriizon It's useful if you want to save some money on ammo. There's a 16% drop from the WoF to get a Laser Rifle, but you need at least 100 or so mana for it to be useful.

@TheOneOwner get a star cannon. At night go find stars, get at least 120 stars, sommon the wall, and then when he's at 2500 life, start using the stars. Make sure you kill all the hungrys and hungry 2's when it starts. If you don't know how to get a star cannon, go to the guide. You need your mini shark, meteorite, and stars. This is how I killed him. Also make your spawn point at the opposite end of the path so when you die you ca run back at him.

Is mana not important anymore? I haven't played Terraria in a long while so I don't know much about it right now, but isn't mana at least a little important? I hate my world, I've found enough stars to get 2 more mana stars but I haven't found a single heart crystal from at least 4 hours underground.

@CrystalPriizon mana is overrated and for speedrun's 20 mana is enough to save 10-50 minutes of trying to get back to your house

@Iccirion Well for me I used pheonix blaster but it had unreal on it making it really strong and I had tried the minishark about 3 times so it depends i guess

@Iccirion I know I'm not yrmir but the phoenix blaster and minishark both have advantages and disadvantages. The phoenix blaster has more base damage but it's fire rate is slower than the minisharks. also, the phoenix blaster is a little harder to get considering you need to find a handgun in the dugeon plus 20 hellsotne bars that are probably better spent on a pickaxe or hamaxe. although i do personally like the PB more than the minishark, but i like the mgashark more than both. hope i helped.

i dont understand how to defeat wall of flesh ive tried like 5 times and i die i have nights edge full hell armor set and the minishark :/ i tried building a line to follow however i still die :/

@TheOneOwner just run from one side of hell to the next spraying at the eyes and mouth of the wall of flesh with you minishark it's easy

@mightynerdzilla that is basicly what im doing but somehow i always run out of hp ive gotten it down to 2000 hp but after that there is just too many mobs and stuff and i cant go anywhere without healing. i got 100hp potions however with the cooldown i just cannot heal fast enough :(

@TheOneOwner The true probleb with the wall of flesh is the hungry and the leeches

before ANYTHING you should go to the dungeon, get the shadow key,look in ALL of the bulidings in hell world, and find a sunfury. now if you already have it you should try to get Nights edge with high recoil (its only 1-3 gold to reforge) and also try to get the goblin tinkerer if you dont have him (just go to the dungeon and explore DEEPLY)

@risso1998 i have nights edge Godly actualy and i have the goblin tinkerer though i figured out aa little bit of the problem most of the buildings are very tall so i have to jump over them and use my ivy whip whilst im doing that the wall of flesh spams me with mobs and lasers :P

@TheOneOwner your problem might be because you don't aim for the eyes and mouth which is the only area you can hit to hurt the WoF.

i would recommend you have at least 1 obsidian skin potion so if you fall into lava, you don't burn alive and use meteor bullets

@TheOneOwner a better way to deal with the hungrys is using the demon scythe which helps alot as they pierce through hungrys and hit the WoF and meteor bullets can bounce back at the wall of flesh and deal extra damage

the fact that they made hellstone burst into lava is bullshit. it's like they are forcing you to make Obsidion skin potions. but it just makes mining the stuff a major pain in the ass. im glad i got Molten crap before that patch.

@McHashbrown45 Notice he threw 5 Dynamite to destroy The Hungers and damage the Wall; hellstone is immune to explosives, if he had thrown 5 dynamite over dirt the first one would have destroyed the dirt and the other ones would fall, making them useless.
