this exercise will help to strenthen the abs, but it won't burn off fat for burning fat just exercise more (i.e take the stairs not the lift etc etc and also take up a sport that burn fat well i.e mountain biking has been proven to burn 500 to 1000 calories an hour!!! hope this helps

no mate you need cardiovascular exercise to lose body fat. this just builds the muscle
