  • As above so bellow. Very interesting and enjoyable thank you. Blessed be ; ]

  • @KristenKalianassaKat well don't you think good and bad meanings might be relative? I think the real issue is freedom of speech and action as long as you don't hurt anybody. Come to think of it though some do believe that yantras can be used on others against their will. Others consider that nonsense and superstition. For sure Jesus in his day was feared as a black magician. Price of doing business in the healing arts

  • the title of this video caught my eye and i'm very glad i found it! i'm interested in sacred geometry for a while now, and at the same time also in subliminal manipulation (by the media), and it fits so perfectly together - the overload with the same symbols over and over again. and for the swastika, i'm from germany where we all are (i guess) more brainwashed about it than anywhere else. it is forbidden, prohibited. you can only show it lined trough to show your aversion against it

  • @creandra you are German huh? me too, at least partly and there is no question there is a lot of German shame running in the world today. thx for stopping by. I haven't yet begun with mantra and yantra equals tantra

  • Fascinating topic. Its refreshing to see meaningful comments on such an interesting vid. I could never have enough of this topic, even if there were five videos and five thousand comments. I've seen some videos that have a LOT more comments than this & not nearly so intelligent. It doesn't matter to me if some people have a lot to say. As for me, I rarely stick my neck out to comment publically. DON'T CARE FOR THE TURBULENCE -- LOL.. But I'm a Voracious Reader! LITERACY COUNTS!

  • thanks OMaharishiSunYogini

  • wow paula, i thought hypno and i were making a beautiful contribution like a rush of fresh air to a nice video. like when people throw flowers. but now i see how disyfunctional it was of me to comment on your video. my therapist advised me to do a little reality testing to find out what you are about . don't worry i won't comment on your forums anymore. i can see you are extremely territorial and jump to pathologize healthy energy as an ego edefense. 93 Sunflower

  • @OMaharishiSunYogini Forgive me... sometimes C'pn Blabby takes over my personality and i talk about stuff i normally wouldn't talk about saying stuff would not say withouth Cpn Blabby.

  • likewise, females tending to squat close to the earth to pee, whereas men have the ability to lift and aim the phallus to make pee go outward in an arc to pee on fire, on plants etc to aim, hence thephallus and men have been associated with transcendence and the heavenly whereas women have been associated with the earthly.

  • @OMaharishiSunYogini that's a funny way to look at it. Earth and water is feminine while air and fire is masculine.

  • in "Body of Myth" author Sansonese points out that the entire human body can be used as a map that is the fundamental framework/foundation of a variety of spiritual "ideas" such as transcendence, climbing up the ladder to spiritual transcendence is an idea that comes from the symbolism inherant in the fact of the human brain being on TOP of the body in upright homosapiens. For instance. An interesting term he used was proprioception or sense ability to feel/sense things inside the body

  • In "Blood Bread and Roses" Judy Grahn coined a term called "metaform." Whereas a metaphor is an abstract literary concept to represent an idea. a metaform she says is an actual think in the real world that assumes a metaphorical importance. For instance: trees and snakes are metaforms in some cultures because they have come to be metaphors for symbolic ideas. As in "tree of life" or the snake being a symbol of the circle and other things central to religious and mythic thought.

  • @OMaharishiSunYogini : the tre and the snake arre not "merely metaphors" they are real things in the real work that have a metaphoric or symbolic importance. I thought that was an interesting concept tho the book was about menstruation i think. Three's another metaform i suppose: women's blood, and not only women's blood but women themselves. also the phallus. all veryimportant metaforms

  • You can model objects in 3D but reality seems to be somewhat more with feelings and time and such. As much as it is a little difficult to say, i tend to think that humans could easily be some kind of alien hybrid beings. If you like thinking about basic natural forces you could easily imagine the moon being a hollow space with a world within. You might imagine the inside of the moon to be much more atmospherically stabile. There is always random variables and fields.

  • 1s and 0s don't seem to be an especially effective way to express anything unless you are becoming a computer, But the computers only care about the stuff we care about because we tell them to.. In some ways we have to try to use extractable knowledge from all that has gone before in life. Are we more who we say we are or more who we are in elementally. Actually i am of a strange mind to live but not procreate, because the whole thing is just too big for me and ppl are very out of balance.

  • The most difficult thing to recognize about life is that it is an amalgamation of basic elements that could well have existed before the big bang. We all got our frameworks or places where we operate and live, but the big aspect of it is the Universe in its largeness. i think the best cumulative symbols ever are for atomic and molecular reality. Sub atomic reality is more like spin and movement.

  • The thing that i find most difficult about life and being a person is the human interface. It's just too vicious and generally dishonest or conniving. i suppose i don't have enough of the essentially compulsive gamer in me that i need to crave life as a human. We live in amazing times, but with some pretty bad energies and directions. The way things seem to arrange themselves seem to be based on kill power or kill threats. i frown on this... ;D ;;P

  • i've never met a religious person with an actual "freed up" intelligence. (that's rare in any time or place) In religion it's all about hierarchy, relative levels of importance, and who gets to recite the nonsense. In groups it all comes down to who is going to rule the roost. i wold like to say my religious experiences were worth while,,,, but maybe, but i won't be hanging out in the "hardening stupidifying experience".

  • People are not necessarily subtle or appreciative of life, They live and organize their beings around gamiing rules that are all about winning rather than doing anything worthwhile, interesting, or smart. i feel bad, because i no longer want to mix it up (so to speak), It's probably because i was treated like a criminal while never actually doing anything remotely criminal when grow'n up. Probably a big volcano's comin' one of these centuries or decades or millenia. Then there will be doing.

  • @hypno: I told SunMaha to check out /watch?v=zPh9FPKnqz8....I can't read all this!

  • When i was still a small child, my first grade teacher told me i had to "worship" the flag when specifically told not to "by God" for two years. It's kind of like the post and the INRI thing. It wasn't supposed to be a symbol of oppression and evil, but after that it most certainly was. No one likes to explain that stuff; It's just something they can officially threaten with and destroy you with. Evil people need symbols of God, Country, and power to crush lower status people..

  • i don't know if anyone has ever noticed, but belief and oppression are common bedfellows. It means that most interpretations are illegal and only the dogma or doctrine are acceptable. This is why men all wear the same "official outfit". Hence one can hear the same people saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over. It often has to do with harsh order or hierachy and an implied threat of death by god or random keeper of the word.

  • The "cross" migh have been something else but "cross" might have been the more recognizable shape. Over a coulple of millenia it probably changed because a straight line was not as easily recognizable to the non readers. Maybe they should have used a spike, because that is more the spirit when it comes to spiking. Then maybe a hammer too. It would be more like who did it and why. It the old days it was more difficult to depict some motion. Swastika likely connote or denote motion or spin.

  • In logic or in science you have to realize that symbols can be shared but this is the social side of it. Science is more about what is going on in basic reality, but, when it is not being "on board" with politics.. Social interfacing requires common terms but ususally ends up with the forced use of common terms which is part of the "essense of hierarchy". Then cruelty is the "stank of stupidity within hierarchy". It all requires symbols and enforcements.

  • Hi Paula, sorry to post a fourth comment. I love the topic of symbol ritual archetype etc. Gotta say, it has been said before that what makes rituals "successful" is when they help us tap into Symbolic thinking. Something about symbolic thinking is a powerful transformative feeling & mental state. If the ritual does not connect to the individual their symbolic thinking won't be activated and the ritual is useless -- just useless actions. i've not expressed it very well in this nutshell.

  • In ref to you feeling the feeling of "this is information that should not be given out," you could have been really tuned into the mind of the person who was doing it who maybe was thinking but not saying it. Also, when a whole culture embraces a shape or symbol it is invested with a lot of energy so you being an intuitiver person can "feel" it in the archetyapal realms i think. I don't think the "symbols" have "meaning" out side of human experience and the human mind.

  • Even Animals have a "group mind" -- which functions as the higher self for the group. Fred Alan Wolf wrote about these topics in "The Dreaming Universe" in relation to the imaginal realms and our connection to them, and also the tangentially related topic of how scientists working alone unaware of each other on other sides of the globe can come up with the same discovery around the same time. They're tuned into archetypal realms or collective consciousness of SCIENCE up to that time,

  • Like, if you have walked up a staircase and are standing on the 7th step of the stair case, there are three options: to stay on the step you are on; to move to the next higher step, or the next lower step, or to skip over a step and step two up and skip a step. So scientists who are standing on the 7th step apart from each other even they have only a limited array of options for which "step" they can go to next. ok. i said three in a row. enough commenting for me now. interesting vid

  • duh, obviously standing on the 7th step of the staircase, even according to my example, you have more than three options for where to move to next, butnot an infinite number of options.

  • the feeling of "this is information that should not be given out,"

was not a rational thought...it just came barging in along with my usual personality rejection of not wanting to study and tediously copy it all down. I wanted something faster and easier but in retrospect it is a process of inward development including dealing with the internal resistance

  • @paulagloria re: the introspect to inward development from experiencing things over and over through time, variations of things and similarities -- sure interesting. thanks. maybe that's the deeper layer to what they mean when they say that such things should not be "given out" -- but surely the priest knew those things should not be given out and the information is readily available in that entire culture. so basically you read the mind of that culture which is instantaneous like access

  • you and hypno could use a little "contact functioning" therapy
