  • Ah, hearing this I'm remembering the hive mind we entererd in 1988/89. We will need it again. Rise.

  • It's House. It's a TR-707. It's a bunch of samples. It's House. It's (maybe) an SH-101 Bassline?

  • Is this by any chance house ? lol

  • nice use of a tr 707 drum machine here.

CRITICAL DIGITAL - ITS HOUSE...Yep! im on it!

    Tam:)*****

  • Flashing strobe lights with a multitude of activity on the dancefloor accompanied by a plethora of lights n lasers all dancing in sync whilst 1000 dance crazed people shouting at the tops of there voices "ITS HOUSE"..

How the hell can that NOT affect someone! I was living the dream, the party in me had been released! lol

Up to this day im still in shock of retaining flashbacks that have profoundly been embedded in my thoughts!

    Mindset CLINK STREET 88!

    F*^"*"G PRICELESS!

    Tam:)

  • quality tune folks, not sure what the beef is about Oakenfold as I've not seen the vid you refer to, but I too was a DJ back then and I'm sure I can remember he was doing A/R stuff for a US record company at some point which would certainly have put him in the right place at the right time.

  • i guess somehow i forgot to rate these trax i commented on

  • This is Class A business. I'm taking notes!

  • what an amazing tune. didn't know it existed 'till now. awesome! & the reason a lot of house documentaries don't cover the real scene is because it is underground & not very well documented

  • You're 100% right.

  • Hey tam...i'm real sorry m8 but I think I just deleted your newest message by mistake!! Ooops!! So sorry!!

  • its all good bud! lol

  • Very understanding of you m8! Cheers!

  • fantastic!

  • great great trax a real chicago lost trax

  • AND MY CHICAGO ACID HOUSE AWARD GOES TO ......."REAL---->FRESH---->BLOG!"

to share your music shows you love it! and through your love you gain respect! so MAXIMUM RESPECT TO YOU LEON!

this tune needs to come with a government health warning! i know you were too young to rave back in the day Leon - but i was there when all of these track were on the circuit. i was a dj then and THIS TRACK...MAN YOU CANT IMAGINE THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE PASSING OUT THROUGH EXHAUSTION OF DANCING TO THIS! KILLER!

  • Thanks again tambian! But there's really no need for all this praise! Not that I don't appreciate it you understand, it 's just that I really am glad that we can all talk about damn fine music.

100% respect to everyone who makes a post or drops a comment!!!

And it must have been a blast dancing to tracks like this back in the day! You're very lucky to have been there!

  • it just shows i got a mad passion for this kind of music!...and where praise is concerned - i dont see anyone with what you have! remember...i was there djing this vibe to the crowds then! ive seen every tune played and can tell you in variable detail what effect it had on people! so yeah, i get excited for all the right reasons! i dont think you really understand what u have - rare they may be - but to be there at the time when these were being played - PRICELESS!

  • I understand what you say! And I am very much the same as you! Thanks again my friend!

  • your welcome bud!

  • Well said,Tambian! It's true, back in 88,when people heard this one thrown into the mix, they rushed out to the floor, and danced like they'd just arrived! It's almost inconcievable by today's standards for people to realize how unique this style was, long before it made it to new york or london. For a very brief period, only a handfull of people along the coast of a few great lakes knew of this music!Granted,by 1988,this style was across the atlantic, but Chicago was without a doubt, the originator.

  • Hey Soukous! thank god theres someone who can clarify what im saying! i saw people pass out for real whilst this track was in the mix!

and youre spot on concerning the timespan! these tunes werent released over here at the time! 87-88 acid house was strictly chicago only! and only a few made it over! labels like 'MISSING DOG, SRO, TARGET,never came over here! check out my comments on HISTORY OF HOUSE PT1 - you,ll be amazed by ONE VERY CRUCIAL FACTOR THEY MISSED OUT IN THIS DOCUMENTARY!

  • I'm sure that so-called documentary missed lots of things out be it the Chicago, Detroit or UK scene.

They need people from the UK like tambian and Chicagowax etc., who know what they are talking about, not idiots like Paul Okenfold, Judge Jules etc. to say how things really went down on the UK scene. They were just baleric idiots as far as i'm concerned. And look at them now? Pop star " mega dj's " playing mega commercial trance.

    Makes me sick it does.

  • Judge Jules - Paul Oakenfold?...u wanna make me sick Leon?...lol these guys are so far up there own arse theyve 4gotten what house music is! its always been about the money for them bruv!

house music 4 them was a 'step' to get to the next level...as for people like me - you and chicagowax, there is no next level, there is no step up or step down, our feet are quite firmly stuck on the step that says **HOUSE**..... ....NUFF SAID!

  • Exactly m8! That's why I was saying they shouldn't be on the likes of that documentary! But they always were/are.The real heads like you, me and Chicagowax etc, etc. are never gonna get heard(albeit sites like youtube, blogs etc).

  • i dont know if its me but when u look at that documentary and see oakenfold talk, its as if hes saying what hes saying coz hes in front of a camera! now dont get me wrong, im not the hating kind, but i just fekt as if everything he said was a fuckin lie! like he never went to new york - like he never went to the paradise garage!

  • I felt exactly the same way.

Anyway, I will no longer waste my time talking about him.

  • LMFAO!....hahaha! you da man Leon! u joker!

  • Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

  • rock da fuckin house man! im dancing in my living room for real! take my fuckin breath away!...let me tell you...ive seen 1000 people rock to this in total synchronicity! you wouldnt believe you eyes!

this is a defcon9 red alert tune! hold your stomach coz if u dont that bass will explode it!.....looool!

cmon people, show some respect for the RFB!

    wicked leon, absolutely fuckin wicked!

  • Just happy I can put them up for everyone.

When i'm done with Chicago I will start with the rare and classic Detroit Techno stuff.

  • woohoo! you go Leon...cant wait!

so can i expect to see stuff like 'CLARENCE G - HYPER-SPACE SOUNDLAB?...

  • What do you think m8 ;) :)

  • you bastard!...LOOOOL! :)

  • OMG! - what a tune!!! Billy Jack in da house!

danced to this in 88 at a club called DUNGEONS in LEABRIDGE RD!

    LEON...THIS IS A KILLER!

anymore classic and i,ll fuckin pass out!..lol

bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad TUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNE!

  • Yeah mate, it's a very cool tune! But I was only 13 when this record was released,so no nightclubs for me LOL.

I'll probably post up that Larocca Records 12" next.

  • do you mean 'OPEN HOUSE...HIT N RUN'?

  • Yeah, that's the one.I am still looking for the other Larocca 12".
