Grazie "Amico Mio" for uploading and "Hosting" this I guess! As a young man in my early 20s when the brilliant "Impresario" Ivo Watts Russel put together this "Project" I had already been a huge "Cocteau Twins" fan, and this debut ensemble would introduce me to "Dead Can Dance" another 4AD love! I still cannot get over the striking difference between this track and Frasers' cover of the Tim Buckley song "Song To The Siren" on the same album! Simply breathtaking!

Totally spot on. Really if you are not familiar with the Roy Harpers work you would never know that it is he who is the greatest rock poet of the last 50 years. A woman is unlikely to really do this justice, for the simple reason that it is about his love expressed from a mans point of view. "and I must take her......" This Mortal Coil made what was quite simply the best three albums of our generation. The diversity of the songs they covered from Talking Heads to Rodney Crowell was astounding. I've been lucky enough to see Liz perform twice over the years here in Houston. I'm still just in love with her. If they could only continue to produce their work as a unit... PLEASE, Ivo and John! The Hope Blister (while good) is not enough. All we can do is hope...
