Put the blame where it started - the housing industry where companies gave loans to people who were unable or UNWILLING to repay! Yes, the financial industry is a load of poo, but consider the people who were given an opportunity, and didn't 'step up' when it came time to actually WORK for it. THEY (and the banks responsible) who defaulted on their loans, and the vultures who bought up the bad debt, are the nightmare catalysts. The whole SYSTEM needs to be fixed without GIVING money to ANYONE.

The Republicans should be openly asked if they still believe that we should have few regulations and the markets will take care of everything. They should be forced to answer this question, and admit they were wrong.
