i actually rev and dump the clutch quickly, i think it sounds mean, i do it alot but im not sure why i do it before a wheelie. lol

its another technique, you find the rpm that lifts the front end, some just cluch and rev slip clutch, others will blip it to keep it around the rpm before dumping the clutch.
