I’m coming from an electronic-industrial-hard rock music background (Ministry, Skinny Puppy, NIN, etc), but this song has always transported me to another place, another time, and another life. It is such a PERFECT song. There is nothing out of place in it. Paul’s voice, the lyrics, the production, the guitar solo at 2:12, short, concise, stunning, gives me goose bumps. Everytime summer starts giving way to the cooler weather of fall and winter I've heard bits and pieces of this song in my mind, yet it had been years since I heard it anyplace. Now in my midlife I find it again as I remember it, to the note. So many songs I've heard in my youth and liked it for the words and music, yet not mature enough to REALLY understand what the artist was trying to get across. This is real music!!! I think as the years go by the music, culture, media and everything just keeps moving forward. Remember Records and Cassette Tapes and Vhs Video Tapes? Less then 2 decades ago all these things were still around. Now we have DVDS , mp3 's and Bluy Ray. And music that these days has no emotion!!!

wow....I just keep finding the great songs that bring back wonderful or sad memories. The times I'd lay there and listen to this and others....dreaming. Wondering where there was a man for me when I was young...to 'romance' me like this. I never knew what this guy looked like til now. DANG...he was a major hottie. He could sing softly to me any time.
