goose creek has change so much since then. sure a few kids smoke in the bathrooms but no real fights. like if there is one its stupid. like 2 8th graders started fist figthing about the homecoing queens at the football game or two kids fighting for 20 seconds over a pecie of candy and they get a detintion. No drugs were found, the dog was falsely alerting, as do hundreds of other drug dogs because it is not now, nor has it ever been or ever will be an "exact science".
Drug dogs can falsely alert over the smell of food or if their handler gives them a specific command, tons of handlers have been busted in court cases for that crap.

I was there that day.. It was my sophmore year. We were all just hanging out in the commons area, as usual before class (at 7:30). We were suddenly bumrushed by cops with loaded guns and dogs. They forced ALL of us to the ground, pointing guns right at us. It was terrifying and I will never forget it. It was completely unnecessary. They only found like 2 kids with marijuana on them. It was ridiculous.
this is actually the school that my school is in competition with. they had no right to pull guns on innocent children like that. I know Stratford and it is a very good school and i remember when this happened. most of those police officers got in major trouble for this. they should search suspects for drugs if they need to, not an entire school especially with LOADED GUNS AND DOGS.

No drugs were found, the dog was falsely alerting, as do hundreds of other drug dogs because it is not now, nor has it ever been or ever will be an "exact science".
Drug dogs can falsely alert over the smell of food or if their handler gives them a specific command, tons of handlers have been busted in court cases for that crap.

There's only been ONE "controversial" raid at that school, 90 out of the 107 students searched were black, and it's a predominantly white school.

@nickcranfield2008 I don't see it as looking for a handout, the raid was done wrong from beginning to end, the principal had suspicions but no proof, in the real world that's a violation of the 4th Amendment to search someone without Probable Cause.
The other videos show the dog handler openly giving the dog cues on which things to hit on, and the guys with the guns drawn violated police procedure by having those guns out.
If illegal actions like that are not questioned, they'll only get worse.

I was there that day.. It was my sophmore year. We were all just hanging out in the commons area, as usual before class (at 7:30). We were suddenly bumrushed by cops with loaded guns and dogs. They forced ALL of us to the ground, pointing guns right at us. It was terrifying and I will never forget it. It was completely unnecessary. They only found like 2 kids with marijuana on them. It was ridiculous.

Congratulations cops, you just taught these children that violence is an acceptable way to solve a social problem. This looks like maximum security lockdown, not a school. I would rather have heroin, coke, and meth available in a vending machine in the hallway then have my kids exposed to this level of abuse. Just because you're a minor doesn't mean that you deserve tyranny and violence.

No biggy, If they want to sort a drug problem out, that's the way to go about it. They did a similar thing in my old school in London, but obviously they didn't have guns.
And people keep saying about legalizing drugs. If drugs are legalized it will just create a new competing black-market for the under-aged, and selling it for a cheaper price. it will also encourage garden-shed-scientists to develop new narcotics, with great risk of trial and error, until a mass producible one is discovered.

If this video doesn't infuriate you then you need to spend some time alone, thinking about morality and ethics and children and actually imagining how you would feel if you were one of those children, and what lesson you would be learning. I don't think even parents in the Soviet Union would have tolerated this.

@ForCurrentUse In some of these schools the police are always there. Most of these kids had done nothing and they were treated like criminals. You sound like a fascist authoritarian, you probably treat your kids like a prison guard treats the inmates. Do you do suprise strip searches? Do you throw them in isolation for a few days if they get a bad grade? Do you waterboard them if you want to know where they are hiding their weed?
