  • Fab

  • @omicula Thanks

  • Watched your vid with Jullian and was impressed. But this is out of the park, man! Bravo, good sir, Bravo.

  • @techish2004 Haha thanks you very much for subscribing through my collab with Julien! And I'm glad you enjoy my video's as well! Thanks for stopping by! Take care man!

  • sorry dude.. its good.. but the last tone was prolonged technicallly. and by doing so you could have adjusted the tone.. it is slightly out of tune. but besides this.. its good

  • Damn! That was a long note at the end!:) respect! Awesome vid btw;)

  • Can you re-post the virtual insanity remake? or perhaps put it up on your sound cloud website? Really want to hear it.

  • @tallandme13 Hey, is the virtual insanity link broken on your computer? I can still play that video on mine. But you can also find the sound file on my website sonnyvandeputte.be. Go to 'muziek' and you'll find it at the top of my professional recordings. Thank you very much for you interest!!

  • @sgtsonny "This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. "

Looks like its blocked in the U.S. too bad! Thanks for the link- It sounds great!

  • Awesome, really great!

  • PERFECT harmony.

  • Seriously incredible voice you have! How did you manage that thirty second note?

  • @VarsitySmurf Thank you very much! I managed that thirty second note by training myself for years in breath control and breath support. It's not something anybody just does. You need to train this :). Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving a comment!

  • so this might be a stupid question, but this is you singing all those different voice parts right? If so, awesome! one of the best things i've heard-ever.

  • @rthistory Not a stupid question at all man. It is most definitely me who sings all four voices: Bass, baritone; lead and tenor. Thanks for stopping by!!

  • wow a 30second note... how many bars is that?

  • question: is there a full multitrack? and if so, where can i find it? and if not, can you make one? haha you are absolutely amazing and i would love to hear a full version:)

  • @mr87fordbronco1 I'm sorry, but I don't have a full version of the song :). I just recorded the ending. Thank you very much for the comment.

  • This gave me goosebumps... Nuff' said.

  • Amazing.... really great stuff :)

  • can we can just count how long he sings that not for? i believe its 29 seconds. holy damn. haha. and i believe that was bear necesseties. the music after the song.

  • the lead turned blue..joke lol....nicely done

  • LOL. I can only it once! I love his videos!

  • It took me two and one third of a breath to do what he did in one...

  • Wow, that was amazing- you should totally try out some Ben folds songs. You have an awesome range!

  • damn. i thought only danny fong could do that. what is the cool bit of music after the song?

    and thanks :)

  • @jd7x7jd Hahaha thanks you very much! The cool bit of music you hear after the tag is 'The Bare Necessities' from the Disney Classic 'The Jungle Book', played by my very own Marching band :). So double thanks!!

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • I myself am working very hard on getting a super-long note. I'm a bit younger than you (I'm guessing), my longest note is around 40 seconds, (Typically a high note) I'm a First tenor (Technically but not really, a Counter Tenor, as well.)

  • Great video, but darn it! I wanted a cookie!

  • WE HAVE THE SAME MIC <3

  • MUST have music score For this PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • caraaacou!!!! merece palmas

  • 100% Disney music + 100% Queen-style = 200% awesome!

Feel free to redo the math, if you don't believe me.

  • I liked how the falsetto was trying to look like the lead vocalist at the end of this, pretty much mirrored him! But seriously, this was incredible! The lead held that note for about 40 seconds, but looked like he wasn't straining himself at all to do it. That was just utterly ridiculous! Still, I am so amazed by this tag:)

  • this was great! keep it up :)

  • oooooooooooooo....BOOOOOM!

  • Sheet music PLEASE?!

  • That was amazing, i cried. (mostly because my aunt has like 5 cats and i'm allergic) but still just amazing i'm jealous.

  • Holy crap! That was long. But awesome. :)

  • Let me guess you can hold your breath for hours? You can certainly sing one note for a minute straight

  • @Phraidnot hahaha I most certainly can't hold my breath for hours :). And I can't sing a note for 60 seconds straight, but I'm working on it. I can already hold some notes up to 53seconds... so I'm getting there :). Love the comment! Take care :)

  • dude that last note was rape

  • whoa, one-person barbershop quartet! that's talent!

    good on you!

  • Holy lungs batman.

  • You are officially up there with Danny Fong

  • very nicely done,i love this song btw!

  • right where I, where I beloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong

  • Damn, you held that note forever.

  • Where can I get the music for this????

  • NICE!!!

BTW: where'd you find that jazz version of Bear Necessities?

  • @gyrrakavian Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! The jazz version of Bear Necessities is played by my very own marching band :). We do all kinds of famous songs and put them in a dixieland jazz version. Take care!

  • @sgtsonny nice!

  • Здорово!!!! Great!!! ))))))))

  • How the FUCK do you sing a note for that long? I mean I apologize for my language but what the shit?!

  • @SystaticSound Hahaha you sing a note that long with years of practice on breath control and vocal technique. Thank you very much for the funny comment!! :D

  • @SystaticSound Or clever editing. ;-) Which is usually the case for this song....but this was just that good...I couldn't tell.

  • Wow

  • all you can say is wow

  • ted has barbershop quintet. This is, of course, a lot more modern and technically spectacular. Some good showing off there ;) Are you listening to both the root note and click track in the earpiece?

  • @faithlessaaa Hey there, in my earpiece have my other (earlier) recorded voices. For the recording of my very first part (in most cases the lead voice) I listen to a guide track... in this case "Go the Distance" in the VS version :).Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  • You harmonize without your brilliant vocal instrument extremely well! I loved this, and thank you for sharing. I can't wait to listen to more. You held that note for 29.5 seconds!!!!!!!!!

  • You harmonize without your brilliant vocal instrument extremely well! I loved this, and thank you for sharing. I can't wait to listen to more.

  • Dude this is sick.,Love it.

  • I dont know if I could hold an "A flat" for that long!!! what 30 seconds?

  • just wow.... WOW, wow WoW, WOWOWOW!!!!

  • awesome

  • AWESOME!!! :D

  • No cookies? Dammit!! lol

  • This is just astounding! EXCELLENT work. Sure appreciate the video. Keep 'em coming! Houston, Texas, U.S.A. salutes you!

  • Holy long note batman. *applaud*

  • Hey sgtsonny, I have a question about your computer and multi tracking. Is there any special software that I could get to start multi tracking?

  • @wndowlikr You'll need some audio editing software like Cubase, Protools, Logic, Sonar,... if you'd like some freeware (posibilities are reduced to the basics of course, but it's a fantastic software for beginners) find audacity. I hope this helps! Good luck with that!

  • whoah dont break your lungs there man :P awesome work. Subscribed

  • My like was the 150th...feels special somehow :)

    Love it!

  • He should join Ted from Scrubs xD

Great work man=) love your multitrack songs =)

  • @CastellanoSemental I looked up Ted from Scrubs and unfortunately I must say I don't get it :). But thanks for the comment! I hope you'll enjoy the tracks that are coming out in the future as well! Take care

  • @sgtsonny

Hello =) Ted from Scrubs has an acapella band. That's what i ment, since you need to do it all by yourself hehe. If you want you can search here on youtube: Scrubs - Ted's Band Compilation, and you will find some of his singing. He's really good =)

  • @CastellanoSemental The Blanks is the actual band name. Cause the group on the show is an actual acapella group. I personally like them on the show better (The Worthless Peons).

  • @sgtsonny did you catch a video of him in his quartet? in some episodes he is in a quartet or tiro or some vocal ensemble. others he's just what i think you saw.

  • maat ik krijg altijd kippevel van u stuff, echt nie normaal

  • @hellskitchen123 Hahaha en dat van de grote, doch altijd aimable Michael! :) Supervet dat je dit post man, appreciate it!

  • Either When it sleepy time down south or When I leave the world behinf

  • @1puppetmaster1 Well I once recorded When it's sleepy time down South, when I just started out multitracking (as we probably all did), but that tag seriously ain't a big challenge. If you really want to hear a recording of me doing that tag, I'll record it this week when I find some spare time and send it to you :). Send me you e-mail address in a PM :). Thanks for the hints :)

  • May I suggest a tag I hink you should do?

  • @1puppetmaster1 you most certainly may :). I have a lot of projects running, but I just might be able to squize in your suggestion! GO :)

  • Oh wow. That's all I have to say, just wow. You blew my mind with that. Do you write the parts yourself? I've got to say that is almost beyond impressive, holding that note for 30 seconds without any unevenness or stress in your voice. I mean wow.

  • Great voise mate :)

  • Wow! Totally awesome talent!

  • my friend introduced me to this video and the first few times i watched it my jaw was completely dropped the whole time. youre by far one of the most powerful tenors ive ever seen and im praying that this isnt autotuned (which i dont think it is). youve got some true talent. really glad you know how to use it so skillfully

  • @pergo94 Hey dude, thanks a lot for the comment. I never get tired of reading comments like that :). I can tell you that I'm not a big fan of autotune, so you are right, this is all me and no AT. Thank you very much for the compliment dude, I really appreciate it!

  • incredible post, lush harmonies, really love it

  • These harmonies are really mindblowing stuff ;) So well done... Also fan of Trudbol. Only beginning myself to having fun with recording bits of harmonies.

  • Hey me again, I told my friends about you and how you have such a wonderful voice. My friend brought up a good point, did you hold that note that long or did you put takes together? If so, how do you do that

  • I totally understand why one would be sceptic about such a note :). I do make a point of it that I sing everything in for real. I don't want to appear like one singer on the net but be a bad copy of internet-me in real life. When I put something online, I want it to be something I'm able to pull off. The only remark on this vid is that I lip synced the lead. Sometimes my video jams while recording, forcing me to record a synced part. But the audio is 100% real. Thanks for spreading my vid man!

  • @sgtsonny Because if I counted right, it was I think 30 sec. and I never thought of it until my friend brought it up. And thats amazing on how you can do that. And if I think the person sounds/looks good, I pass it to my friends for them to enjoy it. Because you are AMAZING!! How long have you been singing

  • @1puppetmaster1 Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate the support!! I've been singing about eight years now, but I've been really taking things a whole lot more serious about five years ago. SInce then I'm studying and practicing every single day to improve my skills. The longest note I recorded for a tag was 52 seconds. So I keep pushing my limit :). And so should every singer. Thanks again for your enthusiasm dude! Take care.

  • @sgtsonny, wow, 52 seconds?! can i please have a video of that? that's just incredible. as is this video. what a great job. would i also be able to steal some sheet music maybe?

  • @sgtsonny Oh WOW!! I am in my barbershop chorus I am a lead. And in my school choir I am a bass. So I have a very decent voice range. But there is no way I can conquer/outsing you. I find so muh interest in musicians such as yourself. I jsut love hearing people who multi-track themselves and do the ring, even though its one person. Another one of my favs., besides you is trubdol. But wow man, keep it up. You take care yourself

  • @1puppetmaster1 Yes Trudbol is one very good singer man! He has an awesome sound!! If you like him, keep your eyes open the next couple of weeks, because something big is coming ;). Thanks a lot for the very kind words man! I love the support some people are showing me! Thanks a lot!

  • Hey, i was jsut wonderin, what part do you usually sing? 'Cause to me you sound more of a tenor/baritone

  • @1puppetmaster1 damn, I accidentally deleted my answer on this question. I'll write it again, but very briefly :). I can't sing low at all, I can only hit the G2, so that's a damn shame, because I really like a strong bass voice! And when I'm completely warmed up I can sing up to a C6. So I'm most definately a Tenor :).

  • Holy shit dude

if only i could hold that A for that long....

    nicely done

  • wow!!

  • WHAT A POST! Dude, youre incredible!!!!!!!

  • Another phenominal piece of work from you, which I wasn't sure you'd still be standing at the end, but boy-oh! A pair of lungs you have, sir. =) Keep 'em coming!

    Outstanding!

    -Sugah

  • That is one of the hottest tracks I've heard in a long time - clean and pure, and rockin' sustain!

  • This is incredible OMG...im shocked in front of the pc! *_*

  • OUT STANDING!

  • Nice voice! Good job!! ^_^

  • What a post!!! Way to go man serious skill!

  • hey i was just curious what program you use to make the multi video effect?

  • @rADAMespsh Sony Vegas Pro 8

  • Great Job!!!!!!!!!!

  • EXCELLENT

    ENJOYED

    trevororrell

  • Hey would you be willing to post the music for this tag? Or at least send it to me?

  • great!

  • im am speechless..

a pricless peice of acapella art

    excellent!

  • You gave me chills when i heard you (: seriuosly this ia amazing and you are a great singer:D you have a new fan ^^

  • DANG...

  • Damn, 29 seconds.

  • awesome.

  • wow so talented

  • Holy breath support, Batman! That was beautiful; keep up the good work.

  • AH! THAT WAS AWESOME! :D I just subbed. Wow.. I wish I could hold a post for that long.. Daaaang :D

  • Dude awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • k another Q, did you have sheet music for this song? I'd love to do this as a barbershop-type performance soon

  • @narusaku9978 nope I play almost everything by ear on my piano and learn to sing the parts like that. But you can buy a copy on the BHS site or from mr. Wright himself I think.

  • what program are you using to do this? im so interested in th is and would like to do it but im a bit lost as of now lol anyways love the vid..good work!!

  • @narusaku9978 Hey, I use Sonar Cakewalk to record the audio and Sony Vegas Pro 8 to edit the video. Thanks for the comment! If you need any help with the multitracking, just send me a PM and I'll get back asap.

  • do you use auto-tune??...

  • @Kevin777 Hey Kevin. I'm very uptight on this subject :) I don't use any AT or Melodyne or whatever else is on the market these days. I just spend a whole lot of time on my tags :). Thanks for checking the video!

  • @sgtsonny Sorry...haha...it just sounded a little different to me...hope to be able to do something like this one day...=]

  • @sgtsonny No auto-tuning here...some other more prominent taggers on YouTube certainly do and they don't admit it, but this one is genuine BBshop!

  • u got talent just that ur method of singing it kinda killed it for me

  • Very good job!! probebly one of the best tags of this that i have heard other than pro.

  • absolutely incredible! .... wow....

  • How long could you theoretically hold that note for? You should see how long you CAN hold it for and post a video of your best attempt :P

  • @TimEddyHughes You know, I don't know how long I could hold it. But I must be honest and say that this is close to all I've got :). I probably could squeeze out a couple of seconds more if I would post on Gb instead of Ab.

  • I love this song! Its from Disney's Hurcules i believe

  • I was more interested in Sgtsonny's looks than the performance. I think I've seen Danny Fong did this Barbershop Multitrack version here. Anyway, you are still so hot.

  • Did you make this song or did it come from somewhere else? In other words can I go out and find the track

  • This is a song arranged by David Wright for the gold medal quartet Vocal Spectrum. You can buy their albums on iTunes. This tag is from the song 'Go the distance' which can be found as the final song on the album: Vocal Spectrum II. You should really buy both albums, it's money very well spent!!

  • Dude. that was really good haha. great voice too

  • Actually, I think this is really good in comparison to most that have tried this tag and other tags on youtube. You do not look like you are developing a new vocal node for every extra second you hold the post. Not bad!

  • nice try :D

  • 5* as ever

    great performances again and again

  • pretty much rocks...

  • SGT Sonny? What service?

19 years active Army here and still going.

  • this is incredible. you dont happen to have the sheet music for this?

  • i love how you pronounced the " i will please my god" part

  • Hey Sgt. Do you chart your stuff out? ie... note's, number system, or is it from memory?

  • @calvtenor Do you mean if I read my music from music paper or if I have another system to use? I don't fully understand your question, I'm sorry.

  • Still loving your voice.

Think "I will please my God" is the best example for this :) wunderful!

  • Thank you very much man! I've been working on the tembre of my voice for a couple years now... it still isn't what it should be, but it is getting better all the time ;) thanks for noticing!

  • VERY nice...

  • I was just waiting for your head to explode. You know, like Wierd Al Jankovic in spy hard. ;D

  • Wow... That sounds awesome.. +1 for you :D

  • Sounds awesome. :]

  • you sing brilliant.. AND you're handsome... get famous, will ya? :)

  • YES at last :) You have to know that I started recording these vids so that someday someone would call me handsome. I've seen it written on almost any multi-trackers channel, but never on mine. Now my mission is accomplished and I can finally stop recording these video's... it is complete :) No, just kidding of course. I'm working on the "Get Famous"-part as we speak, I'll send you a post card when I get there :) Thank you very much for the comment and the sub!

  • wooops, sorry. You didn't subscribe :) my mistake, I didn't mean anything by it :). But now I have lured you into watching my video again :)

  • lol... if you feel better I'll subscribe ;)

I'm not much of a subscriber.... but for you I'll do it! :D

And: I want that postcard ;)

  • impressive post :)

    almost 30 seconds, holey shit.

  • awesome dude, just awesome

....ps did you just get back from a wedding? lol

  • And ... why aren't you famous yet ?

I will never understand how some people can get so high and still sound so pure ...

  • excellent voice, great work, last 2 seconds of the video were dissapointing though

  • Couldn't you please do a "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" vid? Then you would rise from awsome to diety

  • Holy crap, that's so awesome. Love your voice so much!!!

Would you mind telling me where could I download/buy the arrangement?

  • Once I get a real mic, you want to do the whole song with me?

  • I hate re-doing things. But contact me again, when you've got your new gear and we'll see what we can do :)

  • holy crap. that was the best one i have ever seen!

    keep up the awesome work

  • Woah. Nice post.
