The only reason Ron paul will not get elected is because his policies will not enhance the billions these greedy corporate monsters generate.Dont believe the hype of the one sided, bias media and propaganda to sabotage the integrity of this great man! Realize that he is the ONLY one for the people and all these other puppets wont change nothing!!! RON PAUL 08!!!
It's because the NeoCons don't want to go into Pakistan for some reason. The don't want to go after Bin Laden. They want him to live the high life.
Invade a nation? Shit. The NeoCons want to preemptively NUKE Iran!
I like Obama's stance, but it doesn't follow the pre-scripted plan. That may actually end the war on terror in many American's view if we finally killed Osama.
Not to mention Obama has little experience when compared to other democrat candidates. As a matter of fact Hillary and Obama are the two worse candidates on the dem side. It's rather perplexing.
Here's the problem, though. Obama is, really, the only halfway decent choice we've been offered in terms of who the corporates will allow us to elect. The cult of ron paul will thumb this down, but elections in this country are rigged, and paul isn't going to get them rigged in his favour. I'm seeing a romney VS hillary campaign in my crystal ball, and i'd rather elect a puddle of sewage. So, as much as it pains me to say: Obama 08.
That is such a depressing assessment of politics that I wish I had some rational argument against it. As long as people are willing to elect puddles of sewage and accept the arguments these puddles make for not being able to change anything we are doomed.
I would cut out my own kidneys with a spatula if it could change the way things have been. I try not to give up hope because people giving up on Gravel, Paul, or Kucinich and voting clinton because she's better than romney make up all of her grassroots support, but, at the same time, wide-eyed optimism is how people like bush steal elections from under our noses. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't, DamNation...
I'm SOOOO disappointed in Obama, he was so promising, a young, fresh face, but he's just like the rest of them. He's pro-nuke, saying he wants to build more nuke plants, and he's gung-ho about continuing the "War" on terror. Edwards seems to be the only feasible candidate for the Dems. Kucinich is my fave, but he doesn't stand a chance :(
You got it on the dot Josh. Sad when people like Edwards, Guliani and McCain say it they do not get caught in the Media. But Obama got nailed especially by Romney, Hillary and Richardson. No one smells Barack Obama if it comes down to issues. But as Bush showed in 2000 and 2004, politics is not that. It is also manouvering and luck, which Barack Obama really did not make the cut.
I think Obama's tailspin is the result of a one-two punch. At a debate maybe a week before the Pakistan speech, Obama said something like he would meet with the leaders of "hostile" nations. Hillary seized on that and made Obama look inexperienced, saying (correctly) you need to be sure you're not being used for propaganda purposes, etc. Later, when Obama made the Pakistan speech, I personally thought it was an over-reaction to the debate and it made me re-assess his candidacy.

What Hillary says: if you can choke on the dick, it ain't worth swallowing...
She is saying that Pakistan has a big fat cock, and she can't handle it.

Makes you wonder what Bin Laden would say on the stand, if it ever came to prosecution.
I know, I'm strapping on a little tinfoil with this statement, but I just can't see any other reason for him walking around free.

You forget Obama aslo said:
Troops will still be in Iraq untill 2012.
War with Iran is inevitable.

Obama needs a little more mileage. Hopefully he can beat Jeb Bush in 2016.
