Well, same question I wonder why Queensryche isn't really popular on Youtube or anything.(Trash music like Soulja Boy gets 25+ million views,and talent (i'm talkin bout' Queensryche) barely gets 1 million sometimes.) Def Leppard and Iron Maiden were technically at first New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOHBM). Leppard can be classed as glam/hair metal as can Maiden, but to a much more limited extent.

You need to do a little bit more research yourself bud. They're glam, made up of two glam bands (LA Guns and I forget Axl's band), began producing nothing but glam music, stil produce glam music with only a few exceptions.
