  • USMC "$2.43m to buy 728 Leupold, MK8, Heavy Day Optics. "

  • @otetechie that's only $3,337.91 each. I guess they got a discount.

  • no way anyone in their right mind would buy this scope. I can buy 3 good ar 15's for the price of this scope. $4000 is insane, I hope they sell ZERO of these

  • @freestylmx311 They were designed for use on either the mk19 or m5. it's meant for the military not for the average shooter.

  • @otetechie

oh ok thanks for that. I guess that makes it worth the $4000 then lol

  • @freestylmx311 Got to love paying for things with tax dollars. "I'll take two, just in case."

  • 4k$, are they fucking crazy.

  • This guy has no idea of what he's doing representing Leupold tactical scopes!

He doesn't seem to know anything about them nor does he offer a reason to buy one.

We hope Leupold replaces this guy with someone not afraid to open his mouth!

  • .50

  • .1 mil adjustment? Dang, that would be some pretty fine adjustment.

  • @wizemanful But remember though, its one MIL adjustment, not MOA.

  • I just found out this item will not be out till summer 2011. It will be around the $2K area.

  • @blackjack427r I plan to save my $2,000.00 and work on my iron site skills!

  • Just that mount alone looks like it's gunna cost more than I can afford......lol

  • When the Military requests...manufacturers make.

  • in your opion which is better the trijicon short dot or this on???

  • There is no such thing as a Trijicon Short Dot. What you are reffering to is the Trijicon Accupoint or the Schmidt and Bender Short Dot

  • @ 1776PatriotTeen

I thought he just missed a comma and was asking about all three

    tirjicon, short dot, or this

  • Oh okay, I didn't see that sorry. I just got very tunnel visioned for one second while I was writing that comment. Forgive me.

  • Would this work well on a .308 rifle? Such as a M1A or AR-10?

  • I would think so

  • @Forgoten214

It is on a SCAR Mk17 in the video, I'm sure they will have one for a 5.56 gun and one for a 7.62 gun

  • @Forgoten214 It would be optimal imho

  • Awesome optic.

  • id rather get the schmidt 1-8... i bet the scmidt is alot more spendy

  • @jimbo45cal

Me too. The S&B is around $2500.

  • @Gun Websites Editors

I just find it weird that both leupold and S&B would come out with an 1-8 powered optic so similar at the same time. Coincidence?

  • @ jimbo45cal

I think it is more a factor of demand.. we got a lot of guys that make distance shots, that ALSO need their rifles to work close in

  • Maybe I missed it but what will it retail for?

  • They never seem to say....

  • @ importracr86

I ask when when I remember to...

  • Awesome vid either way, I would love one of those scopes. 5 stars

  • it will cost you a testicle, non negotiable and the testicle can not be cancerous... if it is cancerous you get a tasco scope

  • @importracr86

If i remember right, the Leupold rep said they haven't finalized a retail price yet.

  • The way it hangs out front like that makes lt look like it could be bonked out of accuracy pretty easy - see what I mean at 2:00 ... I'd like to see some endurance tests in tactical use situations done with it.

  • I'd have to agree, that looks like a shitty way to mount that nice of a piece of equipment. Why not slide the rail mount directly under the main body?

  • T_T I just purchased a tr24 with a green triangle.

But this would probably be too expensive.

And I can't imagine it having a huge 8x exit pupil anyways.

  • that scope is prime

  • is that on a scar?

  • yup

  • nice scoop. will cost a lot i think ^^ :p
