There is no such thing as a Trijicon Short Dot. What you are reffering to is the Trijicon Accupoint or the Schmidt and Bender Short Dot

The way it hangs out front like that makes lt look like it could be bonked out of accuracy pretty easy - see what I mean at 2:00 ... I'd like to see some endurance tests in tactical use situations done with it.

I'd have to agree, that looks like a shitty way to mount that nice of a piece of equipment. Why not slide the rail mount directly under the main body?
