As great as Tom Morello, i think more recognition should be given to Tim Commerford as well. His bass added soo much depth into their songs that it was just as crazy, all of these guys were soo good can't wait to see the next possible show of theirs.
As great as Tom Morello is, he wouldn't be considered as great with Tim Commerford (the bassist) complimenting his sound as Tom complimented Zack. Really they are all were just great.
People asking about how he does the beginning, the Whammy pedal is set to the 2 octaves up setting, and he's fretting and doing his usual kill switch method (like the beginning of Know Your Enemy), then that spacey slide down is just slowly pulling the pedal back (thus taking it from two octaves up down to regular), with a delay on.
LISTEN UP,my fellow rockers. The rock nation (along with metal fans) will be attacking Justin Biebers BABY video on September 1st onward.Remember to dislike, put a comment and flag on the baby vid on sep 1.We need your help to destroy this modern autotune music that has ruled the world. Copy paste this comment on every good musicvideo such as:Nirvana, AC/DC, led zep, Soundgarden , Beatles, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, hendrix, Guns n' Roses, etc thumbs up 2 this plan
My interpretation of the "Ain't it funny how the factory's doors close
Round the time that the school doors close" part is that in our society, the factories and schools operate on basically the same time schedule, and the prisoners have their outside time at the same time as well so when the people leave their jobs/schools, they see the prisoners & this was done on purpose by the government to eerily remind us not to go against their laws.
@RickTheDimwitted i dunno i can see the socialist ideal coming through.. hes obviously having a rip on the capitolist economy - Ain't it funny how the factory's doors close, Round the time that the school doors close - i think its like the schools close down and the factory close down at the same time.. the reason i think hes hating on the capitolism (again) in this song is cause he says ..Feeding on hunger, and glaring through the promise, upon the food that rots slowly in the aisle - this ---
@RickTheDimwitted is meant to signify the homeless starving on the streets while theres food rotting on ths shelves in supermarkets --- stark contrast to communism where EVERYONE starves -- ZING!
I don't think there is a crowd. Surely none could be that quiet (especially in the UK, where Rage are gigantic!). I think it's just live with no one else there, like their famous 'Bullet in the Head' vid.
ain't it funny how the factory doors close. 'round the time that the school doors close. 'round the time that a hundred thousand jail cells open up to greet you like the reaper.
just probably on of their most legendary choruses. along with vietnow. bulls on parade, bullet in the head, new millenium homes, bombtrack... ahh, good songs
its a song about greed and the lies we feed our workers about social mobility. Seeds planted in our forfathers hands is reffering to how we are victimes of the hands were delt. our a massive promise began to repture, is talking about the lie of work hard and succeed
its talking about how the goverment changes their image to look like a loving country but we are no diffrent the faciasts back in the day. "aint the new sound just like the old"?
it also means that we are now enslaved by the goverment
@1123581231ful It's about Capitalism & it's failure, third world sweatshops, homelessness, the lie of the "free market" and about people eventually waking up & realizing that they are the majority & the rich are a minority that have nothing in the long run except pieces of paper.
@1123581231ful "Listen to the facist sing "Take hope here War is elsewhere You were chosen This is Gods land Soon we'll be free Of blot and mixture Seeds planted by our Forefathers hand" A mass of promises Begin to rupture Like the pockets Of the new world kings Like swollen stomachs In Appalachia"
"...Like the priest that fucked you while he whispered holy things. A mass of tears have transformed to stones now, sharpened on suffering and woven into slings. Hope lies in the rubble of this rich fortress, taking today what tomorrow never brings."
@1123581231ful my fave song for sure, the songs about slavery and hard lives in the far east, and the white man and christianity trying to take over the world.....
@1123581231ful They are Zack's future predictions. One of the predictions are actually. "Like the priests that fuck you you as they whisper holy things." Catholic Priest rape/fondling accusation/addictions arose around 2001, about a year and a half after the release of this album
