During the month of Ramadan, women can be exempt from fasting if they're on their period or pregnant. When a man is working the money is for the family, if the wife works the money is hers.
@BobDole128 Koran is a perfectly acceptable spelling. Also there is nothing wrong with the book, the book is spelt Qu'ran and it was written by Abdullah Yusuf Ali, that translation is commonly used by English speaking Muslims.

2. The Quran was not written by Yusuf Ali. It existed before he wrote "he Holy Qur'an: Text, Translation and Commentary" in 1934. He just translated and gave it his own interpretation.
3. 'Qu'ran' is 100% inaccurate. 'Qur'an' would be more accurate. This may not mean much to you, but it is meaningful in the Arabic and thus should be borrowed into English with best available precision. :)

2. The Quran was not written by Yusuf Ali. It existed before he wrote "he Holy Qur'an: Text, Translation and Commentary" in 1934. He just translated and gave it his own interpretation.
3. 'Qu'ran' is 100% inaccurate. 'Qur'an' would be more accurate. This may not mean much to you, but it is meaningful in the Arabic and thus should be borrowed into English with best available precision. :)

And eventhough I clearly told him I wasn't a Muslim, and that I just happened to know a good deal about it, he still said I was a Muslim in the end. When the ignorant have nothing to back up their claims, they just cover their ears and say "la la la I can't hear you!" and try to claim they won, when they actually didn't back up any of their claims.

I literally put my hand to my forehead when she said that the number of Muslims in the world was closer to 7 million than 1 billion. However, if Muslims are 1000% times more likely to blow up a plane than non-Muslims, even if that chance is less than 1/1000 of a percent, I can see why people would want to practice religious 'profiling' on Muslims. Let's assume for a moment that members of group X are 99% likely to blow up a plane. "But all Xs are violent! We can't discriminate!" Really?
