Yes, and you have the fun of hearing him practise and practise and close quarters ! But you are always encouraging and that is great !
Good start. Starting with chanter only and taking time to get your gracenotes in and slowing it to the point where you can play it. You'll do well if you keep at it.

Thanks, yes he is improving daily -- he loves it, so that will keep him going !
nice start, make sure all the drones are corked so you can gain stamina, then progressively open a tenor to another tenor then the bass
