  • I had the pleasure to hang out and jam with Billy Bass Nelson on several occasions. One time I was at his place chillin' with a few other people and he pulled out a tape of Robert Johnson and put it on. I was real suprised! We wound up all having a conversation about the old time blues guys and how they influenced all the R&B, Funk and even Rock. These guys knew about their roots, something that is nearly forgotten today.

  • I love Funkadelic, the groove in their songs are deeply incredible!

  • Thank you, Momma Clinton :)

  • Just get on with the grease foot; lack frustration. She will thank you and the sliding will repay you. The only cure is to recognize the attachment and to stroke it. Perhaps there will be a day when we can all stroke it together. Stroke the grease foot. You stroke it and I'll slide it.

  • @Bruchac The way it's always been and will be- this is adventureous, dangerous music that's deeply emotional. None of the above adjectives apply to the Black Eyed Peas and their ilk. Neither do these words apply to the average music listener, it seems : (
