His title is confusing for guys like cman32826 . He has his BC3 + BC2 combined and configured in his sound software as 5.1 . His BC3 functions as the fronts left & right , center channel and subwoofer . His BC2 is functioning as his rear channels left & right .

@servantofGod23 Yes it is . You would configure your BC5 + BC2 as a 7.1 system using the BC5 as your front channels left & right , rear channels left & right , center channel and subwoofer . Your BC2 would be configured as your side channels left & right .

I got the same soundcard, but for some reason, when I go to speaker config. like you do at 6:00, in the entertainment mode, there is only options for 1) 2.0/2.1 2) 5.1 and 3) Headphones. I don't understand why no 4.1 option appears like in yours. Installed drivers from CD and everything.

hahaha! sorry this made me laugh i just got the Bose Companion 3 speakers and i clicked on this video and i saw you have the same laptop as me.. plugged into a hdmi tv like i have but mines 23inch samsung, very nice though i love the laptop and sound system :)

heyz bro are using a PC or laptop? If you are using PC, chances are your sound card should be able to support both the companion 3 and 2 simultaneously.

actually,vlc only see as stereo. so,mainly your getting left and right. unless u set vlc as "5.1" under sound options. it won't be dolby digital but at lease u get 5.1...
