He just needs the minutes to sustain his confidence. its hard to maintain confidence when you keep coming in and out of the game so frequently if the coach plays Jimmer big minutes youll see the production. Hinrich is still a good defender and when he was with the bulls he was easily one of the top 5 defensive point guards/off guards in the league. Jameer Nelson, John Wall, and Derick Fisher (the worst defender in at the pg spot) get abused just as much (or more) as the guys on your list.There's only a handful of point guards that play good d.

@byufan2489 Coach Wes had all the confidence in Jim. So do his teammates. They all want him to shoot, and this new coach is no different. With Marcus being out Jimmer's getting enough PT to actually show it, and at the right time because he finally found his rhythm in the NBA. I don't think he'll be the BYU Jimmer, but he's been getting adequate shots ever since the first game. He's just been inconsistent at the beginning. He'll be fine.

Thornton and Evans are ball hogs and Cousins attitude hurts the team, especially on the defensive end. Evans may not be the prototypical guard but imo he'll need to play 1/2 or 2/3 his mins there b/c he's too undersized to play the 3 all gm. Thornton doesn't pass the ball to Jimmer and he needs to go.
